Hi guys, Got an iPhone 8 here. The phone is not dropped or water damaged. It has a strange issue. The display jumps/moves around from time to time. If I play the phone for a little while, the jumping will settle down. But after 10 minutes, the jumping starts again. I already tried different screens, both copy and original ones, same result. So it’s not screen issue. I also put the phone to DFU and restored to original factory settings. Restoration was successful, but made no difference. Display is still jumping from time to time. It’s 100% motherboard problem. I recorded the jumping issue in my youtube video, here is the link: https://youtu.be/zIuofyEiY0U I wonder if anyone can help? Where should I start on motherboard? Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
Hey there, So it sounds like it’s having issues with the orientation sensors such as the gyroscope and accelerometer. If you go to compass and it acts weird and the level tool also doesn’t work, then it’s most likely this. There was a thread a while ago that went into more detail and they’ll probably explain it better than I can. Simply put, it’s a logic board issue most likely. Rotation sensor is messed up?!!
