I have iphone 8 plus died. The user said it was died when playing games then i try to check to power supply. The power supply display 4 ampere when i set to 2.0 volt. I dont know where is the problem. Hope i can fix this problem. Thank you
You likely have a short on either the battery line or VDD_MAIN. If the power supply can maintain the voltage while supplying so much current, you should be able to find the shorted component pretty easily either via cold spray, rosin flux residue or thermal camera. If the power supply is dropping to 0V, then the short will be harder to find. There is a new tool out there called the “Short Killer” which would help you identify those difficult shorts.
