I woke up to my phone stuck on the apple logo. Tried hard reset, and the phone did reset, but stuck on apple logo again. If I keep holding the volume down and sleep/wake buttons, and the phone is not connected to the computer, the screen will turn off after a few seconds following the reset. The apple logo will also turn off on its own after 5 minutes if its off the charger; it will stay permanently on (not boot loop) if it is on the charger/connected to computer. I tried to enter recovery mode, and again the phone resets but doesn’t enter recovery mode. I took it to an Apple store, and the tech connected it to the HDI dongle and ran a test (screen said current check). At the end of this test, the phone was detected by iTunes and reported by HDI as being in recovery mode, but failed to update or recover (unknown error (6)). At this point the tech gave up and said there’s a logic issue that is preventing recovery and I need to buy a new phone. I’ve read many posts but haven’t found anything that matches these symptoms. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If Apple service could not restore the Os they’re probably right, you need a new phone unless you can find an indipendent repair shop into microsoldering that can spot the underlying hardware issue preventing install and fix it.
