I will turn my iphone on, it will go through the boot sequence, then stay on for no more than 5 seconds before turning itself off again. I have never had any problems with it up to now, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Did anything happen to the device in the days and weeks leading up to this issue, such as a drop, a repair attempt or contact with water? It’s important to give us as much background information as possible. As Chris suggests, check the battery to insure that it is capable of powering the device. If the battery is good, or if you have installed a good quality or known-good battery, then use a USB Ammeter to determine if the phone is really drawing current when it says it’s charging.
