Around the 30th December, I replaced my phone’s battery and screen with new ones I bought from iFixit. After that I charged my phone twice without any problems. I did however notice that the bottom left corner of the screen was not pushed as far in/down as it should be, so I removed the bottom left pentalobe screw, pushed the screen further in/down and put the screw back in. After that is when the charging problems started as far as I remember. The phone didn’t recognize it was plugged in and I’ve had to wiggle the connector and/or remove it and plug it back in a few times until the phone started charging. Once it was charging wiggling the connector had no effect on it. This got progressively worse until today, where the phone no longer charges. Things I’ve tried so far to fix this without success: Cleaning the lightning portChecking if the battery is connected properlyUsing a different lightning cable and power adapterVisually inspect the lightning connector for damage Is it possible that I damaged the lightning port and it needs to be replaced, or do you have any ideas for further troubleshooting?

I think you have done all the trouble shooting that’s needed. It is time to replace the charge dock assembly and this should fix your problem.
