Good Day, I have the problem with my iPhone, after trying to replace the battery Screen and Home Button doesn’t respond. During repair logic board was damaged, screw was removed together with nut. You can see it was the one on the middle.
Question 1: Could this be the reason why Screen and Home Button doesn’t respond? Question 2: Is it possible to repair logic board or do I need to change it? Thank you in advance.
Firstly that screw you have circled doesn’t have a standoff; the screw goes straight into the motherboard. I wouldn’t suspect the board has suffered any damaged and would be more inclined to think you have damaged the home button and LCD flex. The first thing you need to do is rule out parts. Replace the screen.
Looks like you just pulled the standoff from the board. There are technicians out there that do specialize in board level repairs and this should be fixable so long as you didn’t damage the traces under it. I would check out iPad Rehab. I took their practical board repair course and Jessa the owner is a well known technician.
