Hello, I recently fixed up an iPhone 7 Plus for a customer with a faulty display. I tried several displays but only a cheap knockoff chinese display works with the phone. I tried using OEM Apple displays from other devices. When i connect up the original display the phone boots normally but the touch doesnt function properly and it has weird lines going through it, but when i connect the Chinese display touch functions correctly but it has lines going through it too. Any idea on what might be causing the issue? PS : very weird issue and happened to me for the first time.
It’s a known issue on the 7Plus, mixing screens of the different Apple OEM may cause problems to the touch function. One should stick with the original manufacturer of the iPhone screen or revert to aftermarket ones.
