iPhone 7 plus touch unresponsive until wake button pressed after screen was replaced. I Replaced the screen and reset the phone through itunes. when i went to set phone up as new phone, the touch screen was unresponsive. the home button worked fine. when i pressed the wake button touch worked fine and was able to set up the phone. Everything worked as it should.. i then reset the phone to see if it would be unresponsive again and it was . would only respond to touch if i clicked the wake/sleep button.. Any idea why this would happen? I doubled checked all connections on the phone and everything installed right.
Did you do the replacement yourself? If so where did you gt your part? Was it a genuine part? Sometimes, they can arrive faulty!

I just updated to 11.3 and it still will be unresponsive when phone is first turned on, have to press the wake sleep wake button and than it works fine. i bought a new screen from here (ifixit) for another phone im replacing the screen on because im pretty sure its the cheap screen i bought that’s doing it. I returned and replaced 3 screens because they didn’t work from gadgetfix for this phone and i will not get anymore from them. the ifixit screen worked perfectly first time installed on my other phone. So im going to stick with the screens from here for now on…
i have 5 month same problem. yesturday i just cover rebon with electrical tape, problem fix. im happy
