Hi there everyone! I have an iPhone 7 plus, when I got it the back camera was smashed. I then replaced the camera and the camera lens at the back, then after the replacement non of the cameras did not work. I then purchased the “facetime” camera and now facetime camera works but only panorama works at the back. I have tried to reset the phone and reset all settings.. I have tried holding down lock button and the volume down button, but nothing. EDIT: Yes every connector is placed properly and no damaged pins or anything like that. Update (12/12/2017) I found out that everything EXCEPT for the picture mode works at the rear camera.
Based on your experience in repairing phones, the only thing I would add is the possibility that the replacement camera is defective. Both cameras get their main voltage from the same source so if one of them is not “perfect”, it may be drawing too much current and causing unexpected issues. I would also check the voltage lines that drive the camera circuits to see if there is any issues there.
