Hi, I dropped my iPhone 7 plus down some metal stairs a few weeks after getting it. The screen was smashed and it would turn on, display the apple logo, then boot to a black screen and turn off. I have bought an official apple replacement screen and replaced it correctly. The phone now does exactly the same thing just with a working screen. it turns on, goes to the apple logo, then a black screen, then turns off. I’m really not sure where to go next as I can’t find anyone who has this exact issue, also most suggested fixes for “iPhone 7 black screen” are software reinstalls which I really don’t see working in this case as the issue arose after a drop. Any help appreciated, Thanks!!!
You most likely have a logic board issue at this point. The hard drop probably damaged some components or solder joints on the logic board and it could be just about anything. The only way to have this properly diagnosed is to have an experienced micro-solderer do a full diagnostic on the phone. Sometimes the damage is visible (in the microscope) other times the board has to be probed with a multimeter until the issue is found. This isn’t really a DIY troubleshooting unless you are skilled with a multimeter and can read schematics (the iPhone has over 50 pages of schematics :>).
