i just a removed the home button from a thoroughly shattered screen (hopefully to put in a new screen and preserve TouchID). the removal was no problem but i noticed the rubber o-ring fell on the table with a split in it so it wasn’t full circle. i’ve located a source for them on ebay, but what i can’t find is any instructions or videos on how to install it or where it goes on the home button assembly. can someone provide picture/diagram as to where the seal is supposed to go? or maybe a video that i haven’t been able to find? Thanks in advance
Imagine a submarine hatch that closes inwards, that’s how the button is installed.
