Hello everyone, Recently, I replaced the screen on an iPhone 7. After doing this there were some stuck pixels so I contacted the screen seller. They replied saying the loosen up the shield plate, which I did. Shortly after doing this, the home button stopped working. I don’t know what happened, but the cables have no tears either. One time, the screen light disappeared. I have a feeling this is most likely a faulty screen, however I’m also doubting that as the screen is working well right now. Does anyone know anything I can try? I’ve tried loosening up the home button.
It’s a defective screen. Be careful with the home button, if you damage it you will loose touch Id. I would send that screen back and buy a better quality screen. I would recommend ifixit or fixez. I would guarantee it’s the screen.
