Chosen Solution Hi there - The display on my Macbook Pro (Early 2015) Retina 13" is black when I turn it on - I hear the chime, the keyboard backlight still works, sound works. But I noticed that the backlight on the Apple logo does not turn on. I’ve tried everything that was recommended by others - such as trying the PRAM reset and resetting the System Management Controller. But no luck here....

I can supply picture of the motherboard if needed, to see if i may have broken an component. sounds likes a faulty battery. not much alternative a part for buying a new battery. Download and run Coconut Battery to see the condition of the battery and if it’s even being seen....

Just search for Martin Logan Mikros 90 replacement ear pads to get results for suppliers. Here’s a link to just one supplier. It is only shown to give you an idea of the cost of the part....

Chosen Solution I’ve got an Iphone 7 Plus with a weird issue. When making phone calls, people complain that it is very hard to hear what I am saying. Both me and the person at the other end can hear static noises . If I record something, the same problem appears. As soon as I use headphones, the problems are gone. I have changed the charging port / microphone assembly twice now so I suspect that it could be something else that is wrong… Any ideas?...

Chosen Solution I have a customer that has a iPhone 7 it keeps shutting off randomly even after battery replacement and software up data and DFU restore. any other reasons this could be doing this? A lot of things can cause the phone to randomly shutdown. Did the customer share any history of the device, such as previous repairs, drops or other impacts, cheap chargers etc.? I know you said randomly but have you or the customer been able to see any form of pattern, such as usage, apps, conditions or modules being used (camera etc....

Chosen Solution hello. I was trying to replace a screen on the iphone 4s, but i got a problem acording to video recording. It is possible to record memo, but not to record video or use the speaker phone. Will it be possible to jailbreak the phone, and change the mic options, so that it uses the bottom mic to record audio during speakerphone or video? No you just have to change the upper mic for the Call in loudspeaker mode and for video recording ....

Chosen Solution I followed the clean ribbon advice but no luck. Since it is only half the screen affected I think there may be two led boards and one of them is faulty? Any advice on fixing this issue gratefully received. Unfortunately that is not repairable, you would need to replace the whole screen.

Chosen Solution I am not sure if I should clean this before reinstalling. If it is adhesive I don’t want to ruin the home button. I noticed that the gasket seems in good shape and the home button was easy to get removed. Very little resistance without using heat when taking it off carefully. Should I replace the membrane if the adhesive isn’t sticky when reattaching the home button to a new screen?...

Chosen Solution I watched this disassembly video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81PjGv8B… It looks like this 2015 iMac has both the flash storage and a hard drive, something I thought wasn’t offered. So I’m guessing it should be possible to add a HD drive to a flash storage CTO iMac and get the best of both worlds. One could presumably put in a SATA SSD, adapter bracket for a 2.5" form factor drive and maybe a digital thermal sensor cable from OWC....

Chosen Solution Hi, Can you answer with an image of where the backlight fuse is on the logic board of MY MODEL? Lorenzo De Pascale, reference designator F9800. It is a 2AMP-32V fuse in a 0402-HF package. Follow the green line. Sorry I do not have the right tools on this computer to make the line nice and straight. Hope this helps, good luck.

Chosen Solution Hi all! I am looking into joining the “repair rather than buy new” community and I have my eye on a 2019 macbook pro 16 inch. I have one with broken display and one with no motherboard and I’m hoping I can transplant the display from the latter on the former :) My issue is that the people who destroyed the motherboard (was a corporate machine so I was told they had to shred it) also seemed to have cut both the main display ribbon as well as the lid angle connector....

Chosen Solution I’ve seen this has been asked before but people say it’s a problem with the house electric but it’s not. I live in a brand new house & i’ve been using my MacBook plugged into the same outlet for 3 years. there have been times when I’ve bumped the MagSafe magnet or the computer and the whole thing just instantly turned off. It always would start right up again....

Chosen Solution Recently, I cleaned my MacBook Pro, taking of the base off and using compressed air to clean out the dust - taking reasonable precautions and being careful (Disconnecting battery beforehand and reconnecting afterwards). When going to turn the MB Pro back on…nothing! No response - only a flashing orange light on the MagSafe, which sometimes didn’t even come on at all. Battery LED indicator lights were also not working - no lights what so ever....

Chosen Solution I’ve got a 2015 A1502 EMC 2835. It does not respond to the power button. I can reset the SMC, the MagSafe confirms this, however…. The MagSafe is green when the battery is connected and turns orange when the battery is disconnected. This is inverse to what I’m familiar with. I’m sure the battery is fully charged, but the MagSafe should not be orange with no battery connected....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to put a PC2-5300-1-GB (instead of PC2700 1 GB) Memory Chip in the Memory Slot of the iBook G4 14" 1.2 GHz model? No their internal makeup is different and would probably damage your logic board if you tried. Far better to either sell the PC2-5300 and buy the correct memory or possibly trade for the correct memory.

Chosen Solution Hi there! I got an iPhone SE (1st gen) that wouldn’t turn on. (Showed the Apple logo and immediately turned off again.) On opening it, I discovered that a third party battery had been installed. (Branded “LTZGO” and labelled as “high capacity, 1800mAH”.) I switched out the battery and tried an iFixit model as well as an old original Apple battery. The iPhone boots fine now and everything works, but: When plugged in it shows “charging” but the battery percentage doesn’t change....

Chosen Solution When I upgraded to the 4.0 software and then downgraded back to 3.1.2 unlocking using blackra1n and now the iPhone wont find any carrier and my number seems to be unknown. The Phone wont let me make a call, after a second it goes to the call back button. I heard from my friend that it might be that apple found out that i was unlocking the iPhone and locked the phone from the iPhone....
