Chosen Solution Hi community. I posted on here the othwr day about issues when replacing a touch IC then losing the whole phone to shorts. I thought i would post up what has happened after nearly all repairs i have dome to see if anyone else has had the same problem and may know what it is. I have never got a new batch of chips (due to trying to find a new supplier and buying ’new’ but never getting new) so its always my first suspect, but has anyone else had this problwm and it ended up being something else?...

Chosen Solution Hi, Recently the fans in my MBP have randomly started spinning up to like 10000rpm, way past what the fan was designed for. Everytime it happened I shut down the computer to avoid damage, and when I turned It back on again it would be fine. It happened again today and this time, it’s persistent. On boot camp, the computer runs really hot and this only happens while doing something such as rendering....

Is it possible to replace the CPU with a newer one, without having to replace the power supply unit? Is it possible to replace the GPU with a newer one, for example, on the R9 M395X without having to replace the power supply unit? Is it possible to replace HDD to SSD or better to change to SSD in case there was already SSD....

Chosen Solution Hi, i have a Xiaomi Curved Gaming Monitor 32”. The monitor only shows a blank screen and the OSD menu doesn´t show up on button press. The background lights of the screen are working. I tried different cables(HDMI and DP) and PCs/notebooks. It gets detected by the PCs, but doesn´t show any input. Couldn´t find any similar issues on the web and in the manual: ++https://www.manualslib.de/manual/706511/… What could be the broken component and where could I get replacement components?...

Chosen Solution iPhone 8 plus has image but has no backlight. I have checked all 1.8v lines and all 5.7v lines which are present on the fpc. all backlight filters check out fine. I replaced all 3 backlight coils, both backlight driver ics. still no backlight. im getting very low voltage readings on both anode lines ( 3.7v ) . my anode readings taken from a good working board im getting around 10v on one anode line and around 16v on other anode line....

Will the new screen (Item code: IF377-051-2) offered on the IFIXIT store resolve my issue with the ghost touch? I have already tried cleaning the screen, removing the case, restarting, hard restarting, and restore methods. Chosen Solution I just bought an eMac from a local thrift shop. On the box it said it used European power and came with an Apple European two pronged chord but on the machine itself it says 120V near the serial number and on the bottom access door. When I plug it in to my American outlet and turn it on, nothing happens so I am guessing it is true that it was somehow set to use 220V....

Chosen Solution So I’ve noticed that built in speakers in newer models have much louder and clearer sound and I was wondering if I could upgrade my built in speakers to a newer one. Are there connectivity issues? Surprisingly its not the speaker coil its the sound chamber that makes a big difference! Sadly, the space needed is different so you really can’t alter your older system as the newer speakers are physically larger....

Chosen Solution After liquid damage to the MacBook Air, I’ve been able to get it nearly operational with a lot of cleaning w/ isopropyl alcohol & contact cleaner. However, I cannot get the trackpad or keyboard to work. I replaced the ribbon cable with one from iFixIt and now the trackpad & keyboard only work in Diagnostic mode. Weirdly enough, the caps lock light is always on and remains on if I boot into macOS or Recovery mode....

Chosen Solution Wine spillage on the right side of my keyboard has caused inconsistent backlight. It works but only in the center. The left side did not recieve spillage so I guess it is not the sensor. What else could cause this? Hi! If wine has spilled on the keyboard, it’s pretty safe to say that’s the cause, and most likely the electronics responsible for lighting up the dark keys have been fried....

Chosen Solution I found out that the high pressure return hose on the power steering is leaking,how do I fix it ? I fixed mine using pool putty and stretching plumbing tape rated for hot temperatures. The fix not onlystopped the leak it reduced the vibrations causing fatigue at this union. Fix was only 10 dollars.

Chosen Solution When I move my laptop from another room the screen goes completely blank…Also need help as to why my battery life is so low….I leave the laptop charged over nite and it has maybe 35% of juice the next day…Can someone give me an answer as to why this happens… Thank you Does the screen go blank when you move it when it’s plugged in, or is it limited to battery power?...

Chosen Solution Phone reads"Use password after restart" including “Your Password contains at least 4 characters, including at least 1 letter”. I can’t open my phone, as I can’t get past the front screen. How do I repair this, or remove it. I am furious, as it seems to be a Samsung issue. PLEASE HELP ME REPAIR IT. Chosen Solution I just replaced my iPhone 7 Plus’s display assembly. The display assembly included everything, except for the Touch ID / home button. While booting / turning on the phone, it started heating up, then when I got to the lock screen, its very hot, as if I was playing a game. The heat is right below the camera, as marked in the photo below. Is this normal? Phones can sometimes heat up when they first boot up which is pretty normal....

Chosen Solution I’m selling a display assembly from a MBP 9,1 and wanted to know if it’s compatible with other MBPs so I can list correct information. I would appreciate any help. It’s fully compatible with early 2011 and late 2011 models. Up to a certain extent it’s compatible also with 2010 i5 and i7 models but the bluetooth/wifi ribbon cable and plastic support has a different lenght. That’s however uncertain if it should be considered as part of the screen or maybe more appropriately to the topcase....

Chosen Solution So i found this…..iPhone 6s Plus Blank Rear Case Item code: IF315-057-1. My sons phone is bent and the edges of the screen arent working. The glass was already replaced and relatively new. Im hoping to straighten the case/frame to get it working again. Any advise is greatly appreciated. I would stay away from the blank housings as they need to be assembled with the buttons and flex cables....
