Chosen Solution Hi! I’ve got an iPhone SE 2. gen in for a repair. The costumer brought it in with a black screen. The phone is on and works, but the screen had gone black. There might have been some liquid-damage, but I can see any sign of it tho. When I connect a new screen and power on the phone, the Apple logo appears. As soon as the home screen appears the screen goes black again, and won’t show anything....
Chosen Solution I fixed the broken camera lens of my brothers iphone 7. I opened the phone and unplugged the back camera. Removed the lens and replaced it with a new one. I didn’t remove the screen assembly. So far so good. After putting the camera back and closing the phone it kept showing the Apple logo and turning off. Endlessly. After hours of frustration I noticed the phone would boot correctly by unplugging the front facing camera ribbon....
Chosen Solution I took my device to a third-party repair shop today and had the screen glass/digitizer assembly replaced. Afterwards, my home button was very wobbly and had lots of play. The store rep said this was “normal.” Am I crazy to think that it is possible to firmly reattach the home button after replacing the screen? I asked them to tighten things up but they refused, saying there was nothing they could do....

I did the chemical cleaning at the repair shop but it’s not working. they said it needs front camera/audio, and battery replaced. so, I properly replaced it by myself, however, still the same problem. The flash storage chips are soldered to the logic board. You’re stuck with what you get. The Samsung X5 SSD’s connected via TB3 are very fast. They’re NVMe drives…When I got the Mac Mini with an internal 256GB SSD, I knew that I’d be adding an external drive....

Chosen Solution Whenever I play video games for 30minutes+ my computer’s CPU can get to temperatures as high as 96 degrees Celsius. Are you comfortable with opening the laptop and removing the heat pipe from the cpu? It’s held on by screws and thermal paste. Replace the thermal paste on the CPU and GPU with a small dab of arctic silver 5. A lot of times OEM’s cake on thermal paste and after a while it breaks down and becomes chalky....

One of the frustrations with refurbishing Apple laptops is that no matter how must testing I do before shipping, I seem to have a failure rate of about 10%, i.e. the hard drive is DOA when it arrives, the latent iBook video issue suddenly rears its head, the customer tells me the laptop will not power on, etc. I double-box everything, so I know it’s not related to shipping damage....

Chosen Solution Hi about a week ago my macbookpro started to go crazy. Lines on the right side of the screen started to emerge. At first it was only about 1.5in but then another section started to emerge aswell. You can see it in the picture i took of it. To the left of white line in the messed up part is where the second section of the problem starts. When i bend the right side of the screen back and left to the front the lines all disappear....

Chosen Solution This model seems to be unlike any of the usual videos which say to simply remove 2 screws on the back and slide the lid forward. The parts guys don’t seem to have seen anything like it either. First, no screws. Second, there are clips under the console which would prevent the lid from sliding. Third, the only diagram I can find shows a screw on either side under the lid holding it place....
Chosen Solution My MacBook will not turn on. The power button is clicking, but not turning on the screen. Yes, it it charged always charging, and tried many power cables. The screen is always blank, just black and dimmed. No matter how long I hold the power button, it doesn’t work, and I have tried most apple troubleshooters. Likely C7771 has failed on the logic board and needs to be replaced....

I straightened it, however it is no longer fully soldered. Though it’s broken my MBP still works. It’s a isolation stud used to support the logic board from twisting about. similar to the one just above which is a spring version for EMI. This one is insulated....

Chosen Solution Recently my phone suffered some water damage in a short storm. I had someone take it into a shop somewhere in my city and they “scrubbed” it as well as did a battery replacement. I got the phone back a day later and it’s incredibly laggy. Apps are slow to load and sometimes when they load they close immediately. I would really love to have a quick fix to this problem, I’m praying that it’s not a fried board or anything....

I tried an hard reset but nothing, I opened it again and checked all the contacts, even the screen ones, and they seem ok, I tried to charge it with the battery disconnected but it still doesn’t happen anything, and even reinstalling the old battery didn’t do....
Chosen Solution Hi fpr the past 18 months I have been fixing iPhones, by buying them broken off eBay, fixing them and selling them for a profit. It seems like there is a lot of competition when buying these broken phones and eBay selling fees take up a lot of the profits. I have also done a few screen replacements for people my dad works with - he is is construction so knows a lot of people with broken phones - I can buy screens for the phones for between £15 for a 5s and 25-30 for a 6s or 7, I haven’t done any newer phones than that....
Chosen Solution I have a donated iPhone 6s, which after many replacement parts has been brought back from the dead (screen, button cable). I have repaired hundreds of iPhones, and never met a problem that couldn’t be solved by replacing parts. It works wonderfully, but there are two quirks that I am yet to work out: The power/sleep button is unresponsive, despite replacing the button cable.If the HOME button is held down the phone restarts, and sometimes goes into a boot loop....
