Chosen Solution I was taking some picture of a friend’s horse and I was getting a double exposure. I took the lens off and a mirror fell out. I think I recovered all the parts. How do I repair this problem The mirror fell to the ground? Without a second thought, take the camera to a Nikon repair technician to have it replaced. Tell them you need a new mirror. I would doubt that the mirror is still in perfect condition....

Chosen Solution Replaced ice maker. Replaced water inlet value. Have plenty of pressure. 16 oz in 20 seconds. Can blow air though tube from inlet value to fridge. But from inlet value to fridge not getting any water. Getting water to inlet value but no further. So not getting any ice. Hi @dsocha, I don’t know the refrigerator but have you checked if the freezer door switch turns off the freezer light when manually operated with the door open?...

Chosen Solution I have a craftsman 42’’ 917 riding mower that stalls and dies out after mowing 10 minutes . Installed new carb, air filter, spark plug and set lifters and still same problem. new battery also. Check the vent on the gas cap if it seems to be starving out.

I continued to use it for about a day (it’s supposed to be good for 30 minutes in 1m of water right!?!?) until it went into a boot loop. I opened it up and cleaned it out. The front and the rear mic works perfectly, so normal calling works perfect as well as with siri. But certain apps such as whatsapp, hangouts, duo, during a normal call the other person can’t hear anything but when put on speaker they can....

Chosen Solution I recently changed the screen on my iPhone 5. Vertical lines suddenly appeared, tried cleaning the connectors and re-attaching them but no joy. Got a new screen attached it and all’s well. Unfortunately now the Message app randomly quits in addition to not being able to view previous messages or even send/receive texts. I’m also unable to receive calls; can make calls but not receive. Although I double and triple checked all connections these new symptoms persist....

Chosen Solution Recently my ipod got locked wih lock icon near the battery. I had to reset the power by removing the battery plug from the connector. The lock icon disappeared after that and ipod was all ok till after 2 days it started all new problem of “please wait battery low”.I have tried all options on earth resetting (never getting reset) , disconnecting the battery hardrive etc and it refuse o charge....

Chosen Solution I want to remove gyroscope from my smartphone. Is that possible? My device is China brand Colorfly G808 3G. No one know my smartphone brand, but I would like to know if such things are possible. And in what way can I remove it if possible? I do not know what the gyroscope looks like and where it is on the smartphone. Unless you are highly skilled with soldering and assuming you know exactly what part of the logic board controls it, it is highly unlikely that it can be removed....

Chosen Solution I have a 2010 ford escape and I want to know if driving with a ELM327 Bluetooth OBD2 scanner will harm the car’s computer. Would it be safe to drive a car with something connected to the OBD2 port? Panayiotis Michalos that’ll depend on the scanner. If it only reads to codes then you are okay (even so not sure why you would;-) If it places your vehicle into diagnostics mode then it is not okay to drive around with it....

So I’ve disassembled it to the antenna, and everything is connected and working, but still no GPS accuracy. Is there a way to check if something is wrong with the GPS chip? do you get any fix or is it only inaccurate ??? a faulty hardware is always possible after the phone fell down here is a picture of the logicboard the gps receiver is on the bottom left, but there is nothing you can do, if there is a faulty soldering under it - except you have the proper tools and the knowledge to do those kind of repairs naybe you find something here

Chosen Solution Hi, I am repurposing an iMac 7.1 (A1224) to external monitor+HDD+Speaker+Camera for my new Mac Mini. I read that the camera cable is essentially a 5V/GND/Data+/Data- that I can solder to an USB cable easily. Now I am a surprised to find out that the cable is actually 5 wire, as seen on the picture below. Thick Black - blue - green - white - grey. I already gutted the iMac, can’t measure voltage on the cable....

If it is just the backlight then you will be able to see it one with the flash light. If you do not see anything it is the monitor or video card....

Chosen Solution i tried a diy witha solder, not micro solder and knocked off all 6 components next to batt connector. please tell me if i can jumper all and if i can jumper any components conncetors together that wont affect my phone There are four capacitors and two resistors. You can short the two resistors (R61 / R153) as they are 0 Ohm. The capacitors are there for filtering noise off the line so ideally, they should be replaced but your phone will work without them....

Chosen Solution I cleaned my keyboard lap with a product for cleaning electronics. The product is basically isopropyl alcohol. After that some of the keys weren’t working quite fine, so i shut it down. Now the power button is completly unresponsive and can’t turn it on again. How can i turn on my lap? What about the keys, should i remove them and clean them with water or just wait?...

Chosen Solution I dropped my laptop now the screen is black. It still powers up and sounds like the hardrive is spinning. I tried connecting it to an external monitor through the dvi and did not work. Can anyone help? Oh ouch. If connecting to an external monitor didn’t work, things could either be very bad, or not so much. If no external monitor is working, it usually means that your graphics card some how got messed up, instead of you actually breaking your LCD screen....

Hi @trimmerbird, I think you had set to a higher resolution, etc else, if the picture was taken, you can use online image resize to compress your pictures....
