Chosen Solution Hello, After spilling some wine on my 4 year old SR MacBook Pro. The “.” and “left/home” buttons aren’t working anymore. To get this problem fixit at my local Apple Reseller, it will cost me €300. I can buy a replacement keyboard on eBay for around €30-40. My MacBook Pro has a dutch/EU - US Intl. layout keyboard. Chosen Solution My 13” MacBook Pro 2017 (with Touch Bar) got display outage suddenly. The backlight wasn’t lighting up (the desktop & its icons could faintly be seen with a torchlight). Chosen Solution model A1286. removed back of laptop all appeared well. Screen is flickering and unsteady. Otherwise the computer appears to be working very well! Any ideas on diagnosis? Dismantle clean and dry. Depending upon what was spilled corrosion may start worsening symptoms. Follow tags to see how to treat liquid damage. So I was wondering is there anyway to fix it without buying a brand new logic board. Chosen Solution I posted this on apple discussions, but I thought I would try it here as well. I have a MacBook Pro 15’’ Late 2011, i7 processor. When ever I plug in the power cord (without pressing the power button), the sleep light turns on, turns off, waits 5 seconds, then repeats, the fans follow along with this cycle. It does the exact same regardless of whether RAM is installed, or not installed....

Chosen Solution So, I’ve been fixing up an old MacBook, did some upgrading, replaced the battery with one from iFixit, etc… I calibrated the battery from the usual procedure, charged it, waited 2 hours, left it to die, charged it again, and everything worked great. A little bit after that, I guess I made the mistake of leaving it for a few days, resulting in it dying. I believe this actually made it recalibrate the battery, in a very bad way....

Chosen Solution I have a Mid 2009 Apple MacBook Pro 17" A1297 with a 2.8GHz Processor and 4GB of RAM. I have tried various sets of memory sticks of 8 and 16GB 1067MHz DDR3 PC8500 RAM, and none of them worked. When booted up with the 8GB of newly installed RAM, the system would beep…beep beep…beep…and so on and would never recognize it. With the 16GB of RAM it just would continuously Beep…beep…beep....

Chosen Solution My Memory stick will not stay down. I push it in to take some pics and it pops right back up Daniel Austin, Could be a broken piece off card/dust/debri or damaged inside the card slot mis-aligned lock spring/pin. Use a magnifier and aim a flashlight down the slot and see if there is anything obvious causing the issue. Also try another card if all looks good. If it ends up that the camera needs a new SD memory card slot, it is soldered to the mother board and would be best to have it checked out at a good local camera shop and estimate repair....

Chosen Solution i have this problem of moving/coping files stored in the internal device of my samsung grand neo plus like pictures or downloaded files (doc or pdf) to the external sd card.. when i move a file a notification will pop up saying that its READ ONLY… Reformat the SD card from a computer or from settings>storage>erase sd card on your android. If that fails then your SD card may be bricked....

Chosen Solution Hello, can anyone help. My son has an IPhone SE refurbished purchased 2.5 months ago. It has stopped receiving a signal via SIM card, carrier said there is nothing wrong with the SIM as it’s fine in other phones, Apple have said it’s a fault of the phone. I have been told it’s possibly the IC that’s gone wrong but I am shocked it hasn’t lasted very long, the company I purchased from offer warranty but not covering IC as it’s accidental damage, I fail to see this as they haven’t even looked at the phone....

By shaking do you mean you physically shaking the device, or the device vibrating. If you are physically shaking the device and it’s shutting down its most likely a problem with the connection between the battery and the phone....

Chosen Solution I have an iPhone XR and tried to upgrade its iOS from 14 to 15. The download seemed to have finished, however in the next stage, when the phone is automatically restarting, the screen becomes stuck with a white Apple logo in a black background (without any loading bar under the logo). Chosen Solution Hi, my tablet started stopped charging a while back so I replaced the battery. It turned on fine with the charge that was in the battery when it came, but then refused to charge again. So now after cleaning the port out without success I’m wondering if I need to buy a new charging port, and if the repair is possible without microsoldering. After some testing I discovered my charger is defective, and so obviously I tried a different charger (not an official one, just a micro USB cord plugged into a phone adapter) and I got the charging symbol but the battery level wouldn’t increase....
