Chosen Solution Hi I received in a 27" iMac 3.1 GHz i5 (mid 2011) that was previously opened, all the cables inside were disconnected, plugged all back in place, but one is missing! I’m unable to identify it. Also the HDD closure is missing, Can someone help to identify this cable and what else I need to buy. Thanks all in advance You likely need a few parts here. If the external monitor display is OK, you have either a faulty video cable, faulty video cable connection at either end or a faulty LCD screen. If the external monitor display is also distorted then you have a problem with the GPU or the motherboard....

Chosen Solution I purchased an iPhone 7 128GB Unlocked for $220, issue was that on phone calls you cant hear the other person, and they cant hear you. Speaker phone isn’t an option. Also no microphone when recording video. But loudspeaker does work in the sound area of settings. There was 2mns left in the auction, so I figured, “hey just need new front camera flex”. Chosen Solution This phone is cursed… so first out I replaced the screen a few months back, and then the home button stopped working, so replace it with an aftermarket one, home button worked fine while phone was open, but as soon as closed it it didn’t, after some answer form help, I replaced the screen put the original button back work everything was good. Now the customer has brought it back for a battery replacement, replaced battery now it won’t charge, battery logo/symbol shows when the charger is connected but usb amp doesn’t show any draw....

Chosen Solution The function (mode) selector dial on my Sony Camera DSC-H3 absorbed the full force and the internal switches were damaged after a fall, and now the camera jumps from one function to another unpredictably. E.g., I set it on automatic mode, and it will jump around to different functions on its own, such as sports (fast shutter) or high sensitivity (low light), manual setting or movie mode. At other times, it will turn on in one mode and I can’t switch it to another....

Chosen Solution Is iSight camera of 6s+ and 6s are the same? I have rattling issue on 6s+ and have a spare 6s camera. Thinking to replace with that. Thanks No, the cameras are physically different in size. The + being larger and the non-plus being smaller, this includes the connector as well.

Chosen Solution I can’t seem to find one, but I would like to buy a 5s screw set where each of the screws are labeled by size. I know I can buy the screw sets with all the screws mixed, but this isn’t really gonna help me. I know that one screw in the wrong place can cause irreparable damage to the logic board. Anything labeled as to which screw goes where, or just by screw size would do, then I can follow the ifixit guide and use the correct size screws for each step....

Chosen Solution Hey! I just was given an 30” Apple Cinema HD Display with a crushed USB plug and a slightly crushed DVI plug. Looks like the all in one cable that these ports are attached to is not detachable from the outside. Is it possible to replace just the all in one cable… or is this just not possible at all? If it is possible to do this a link to a guide on how to do said thing would be much appreciated along with a link to a replacement all in one cable....

Im about the start glass only repairs and was wondering if the glass I’ve ordered is correct because they’ve Sent me glass that is identical in every way to my iPhone 6 glass. Can anyone confirm for sure before I start laminating my 6s lcds to it? Chosen Solution Hello. I recently replaced the thermal paste for my MacBook Air 2017 following the ifixit guide. When reassembling everything, I turned on the laptop and found out the MacBook charger was turning orange or green which the MacBook wasn’t charging, the audio wasn’t working, the computer wasn’t sleeping and the fan isn’t working (0rpm). I used Apple Diagnostics which found problems with the fan and the SMC. My question is there a problem with the I/O flex cable, I/O board or the logic board?...

Chosen Solution The iPhone keeps saying that ihave tries to restore it sevral times More then likely, you will be able to resolve this with a Recovery Mode restore. If this doesn’t work, then try to downgrade the firmware and then update the phone again - however, the signing period does not last long once a new iOS is released with Apple. While you’ll probably be able to get away with just doing a recovery mode restore, you may have to downgrade as a last ditch effort....

Now I’m replacing my old MacBook Air 2011 with the 2015 model (the last one till now) My question is if the SSD I got from the Mac Pro will be compatible with the Air. I pressed the little battery disconnect button, but i never tried to plug in the power. so I wonder, if i pressed the battery disconnect button, the macbook won’t turn on unless i plug in the power? is that right?
