Chosen Solution lens is opening and closing, then it shows error on the screen The lens has an Iris which is controlled by a motor. If the connection to it is broken you will get a lens error. You can also get the error is the camera has gotten wet.

Even if it is cracked, if it was working before then that can help you troubleshoot the issue. If the original screens also suffers from the same symptoms, then you need to check the condition of the connectors on the logic board to see is there are any damaged pins or debris that could impede a good electrical contact....

Chosen Solution Unfortunately that looks like a GPU failure. If it’s an A1369 from early 2012 it’s a typical issue, less frequent on 2012 A1466 but it may still happen. You can download and run a benchmarking App like Valley from Unigine, that would cause a repeated reboot or shutdown as soon as launched and would confirm the GPU failure. I’d recommend backing up your data before that, as the board may brick for good anytime....

I replaced a proximity sensor, checked the heat shield to make sure the flex cable tab was properly placed underneath it. Any experience/suggestions would be appreciated. Why did you replace the proximity sensor? Was this related to a problem? There are a couple of things that could be wrong here. You don’t mention if the “warm” replacement screen works otherwise....

Would it be easier to replace the back glass, or the entire back housing? I think that replacing the back housing might be easier, because I won’t have to destroy the back of my phone more. It’s doesn’t start and make the noise, the apple logo and the progress bar but it ends suddenly shutting down and trying to boot up again without succeeding and repeating again ans again. i tried to start with the battery disconnected it does the same. it actually looks like the battery isn’t connected when I connect it because it does exactly the same with or without the battery connected....
