Looking for a replacement logic board, looks like the slightly more powerful late 2011 logic boards are cheaper. Given, their cheaper and with a bit more power; can I use a late 2011 logic board in an early 2011 case? Chosen Solution Ok, so, my Macbook charger Magsafe 1 60w started having problems (the magnetic part separated from the head of the charger, it started sparking and it worked putting the piece back in place till I lost the magnetic part. In that moment the Macbook was still working till the battery drained out) so I decided to change the cable. I opened the Magsafe and I found two soldering points where was the cables....

Changing the housing is a very involved repair and a lot of things can go wrong during the process. Start by doubles checking the condition of all the connectors and flexes. Chosen Solution I disassambled my iPhone 3G exactly like you were showing in repairguide but when I switched it on the vibrator wasn’t working. It seems that there is nothing wrong with software. check the vibrate motor pins haven’t been flattened when you opened phone, if they aren’t making contact with underside of motherboard gently prise them up a little clean contacts on vibrate/motherboard check the 2 small metal prongs on metal housing of motor are in the slots of rear case check small plastic switch is seated in slot of mute on/off switch....

The disk for your 27" iMac will probably work on the 21" 2011 but nothing else. Beside a G5 processor can only be taken as high as 10.5.8.
