Chosen Solution my iphone develope a horizontal line in the bottom of the screen, the weird thing is if i max the brightness of my phone it goes away but when i turn the brightness down then lock the phone when i unlock it again it shows up. can anyone tell me whats wrong? @khelvillanda since “i max the brightness of my phone it goes away” you may start having issues with some filtering capacitors....

I am wondering if I could perform this repair without previous experience, just following a videotutorial in youtube with the proper tools. I always try to repair all my electronic devices at home (iphone, mac, computer,..) but none of them is so difficult like this. Chosen Solution Earlier this week I left my phone in the sun, and after that my camera and speaker stopped working, so I replaced the cable, and it worked again, But after that I didn’t had auto brightness any more. I tried cleaning up a bit, didn’t work. I ordered a new cable, still didn’t work. I checked the old (original cable) , it works, but without camera and speaker. So I assume the problem lies in the replacement parts, or could it be Apple bricking my phone because I’m repairing it?...

Also no battery charging. Any ideas? That sounds pretty bad, you’ve attempted all reasonable steps in a DIY approach, there’s really nothing left for you to do except replacing the logic board in my opinion....

Chosen Solution My iPhone Stuck in White Apple logo. I tried resetting the iPhone , Also Tried restoring the iPhone Multiple times even in DFU mode also. Restoration was successfully completed but device is again showing the same issue. Iphone is stuck in Apple logo itself. in iTunes device is detecting . Device is not under Apple Coverage and i believe if i visits Apple Support then they will advise for a whole unit replacement only....

Chosen Solution Okay so, I woke up and the battery was fine at around 60-70%, and I opened this car-game app and the top-right of my phone started to overheat and it just went black. I tried hard-resetting it multiple times, changing the old battery to a new one (original Apple battery for 6s) and even taking it to the store, however my warranty ran out last month.. and it would cost SO much to repair it....
Chosen Solution My 1-year-old got a hold of my wife’s iPhone X and dropped it onto hard tile and now her front and rear cameras just show black and the flashlight will no longer turn on. It all was working before the drop. She has it in a case with a screen protector and it only fell from child standing height, so I’m not sure what could have rattled loose. I restarted my phone but the result is still the same.the more I use the more the lines appear You probably have a damaged screen. That is the most logical thing to change first unless there is something else that happened recently to your phone like water damage or a hard fall....
Chosen Solution I’m wondering about replacing the headphone jack in my super old ipod. I don’t see that fix specifically. Is it a full motherboard replacement? Or just not do-able these days? Charlie Hudson the headphone jack is soldered to the logicboard. So in your case you would have to try and find a replacement jack to place on the board.. Of course, this may just be the repair required for your jack to work again....
Chosen Solution Every time I connect my iPod to my computer and the iTunes pops up, it wants to restore. Then, after it does, it pops up again, and it wont let me put music on my iPod. Drat! Edd: When you connect your iPod and it shows up tell it to stop the sync and uncheck the “Automatically Sync when this iPod is connected” button on the iTunes screen for the iPod....

Ifixit has quality batteries and they have a 1 Year warrenty, so if anything goes wrong, you’re covered! Although you already have the tools, for 3 dollars more you can get the entire kit so if one of your tools breaks, or just to have extras, for 3 dollars you cant go wrong....

Chosen Solution My LCD screen for my ags-001 was real dusty, even underneath.. I made the mistake of opening it up and applying some Mr.sheen on a micro fiber cloth and getting rid of it. Shortly after… it has like a cloudyness to it. Like a stain.. see below. I use isopropylalcohol to try to remove it.. but it remains.. it hurts my soul. Can anyone help with how to remove this?...
Chosen Solution The backlight turns off but TV it’s still on, I can hear sound and change channel. The failure appears between 2 minutes and more than 1 hour. If the LED turns off and I turn the TV off and on again the LED will not turn on, but if I disconnect the power supply and reconnect it the LED comes back and then fails again. I changed the power supply about two months ago because the TV was not turning on at all, and after about 2 weeks it started doing that....
