Chosen Solution I managed to take care of my old macbook really well over the years, but messed up and used a very wet clorox wipe, I quickly tried to wipe it off and it seemed fine. Closed the laptop, arrived hours later to find it hot to the touch. Opened it up, keyboard and track pad won’t work at all. Power button works, it charges fine, screen is fine and when I hook up an external keyboard and mouse it also works....

Chosen Solution Hi, I bought a used Macbook, knowing that the keyboard backlight doesn’t work, which aint a Problem for me. The only Problem is that it also doesn’t go to sleep mode when the cover is closed (magnet over sensor also doesn’t trigger), and the battery status doesn’t work. I tried resetting the SMC several times, didn’t work. Know i discovered the following: My Keyboard Backlight Ribbon cable isn’t plugged in, because there is no Port to plug it in, seems it had been removed somehow....

Chosen Solution This problem started 3 months ago, all I had to do was unplug it and then plug it back in and it would charge fine. Now nothing works it just says “pluged in (not charging)” now. This could be an indication that the battery wont hold a charge. Might need to replace the battery It seems like you battery is expired because usually laptop`s battery last for 1 to 2 in normal form....

Chosen Solution I have a customer that asked me to repair his screen. I ordered a screen and tore the phone apart like always. In doing so, I found the first part I originally ordered didn’t function correctly. I returned that part and ordered from a new source. I didn’t bother replacing the phones screen with the original broken one so I wrapped it in microfiber towel to keep from any contamination....

Chosen Solution Where can I buy a replacement screen for an LG TV? First off, we dont know your model so finding you the correct replacement is impossible. Second off, good luck. Finding a new screen is near impossible anyways and even if you do, its normally more than a new tv. So your best bet is to go get a new tv because finding a cheap screen that is the correct size and will work is almost impossible....

Chosen Solution Hello, I own a mid-2009 15" Macbook Pro (MC118LL/A). It is still running fairly well, but a few things concern me. One is the hinge from the lcd screen to the main body is cracking (picture attached) and the housing at the back of the lcd screen, where the lighted apple logo is, is fairly scratched and has oxidized spots. It’s hard to find this exact 2009 model in decent condition where I could swap out these parts....

Chosen Solution Old Vizio LCD, worked fine until I heard a loud pop. The screen went blank but I can still see the backlight shine from the edges, however after I reset the TV the back light wont work even though TV seems to turn on. The only damage I see to the board is in the picture, these components within the brown patch move when I touch them with the leads probably fried underneath because I hear cooked plastic....

Chosen Solution I just got a MacBook Air 2015 and starting it up the screen flickers with varying degrees of brightness but after letting it sit for 2 minutes the flicking is gone and the screen is fine (moving the display position doesn’t affect it). Could this be a backlight issue or a simple loose display connection? C - All of the above! The backlight power travels through the same cable as the displays signal....

Chosen Solution Hi! I’ve got a Macbook that completely stopped working. When I turn it on, only the hard drive makes a faint spinning noise. The fan remains still and there’s no status light. I’ve inserted a DVD and now that starts spinning as well. I’ve tried a PRAM reset, SMC reset, disconnecting the battery, using a different charger, disconnecting the hard drive and playing with the bars of RAM. An answer I found on iFixit said to hold down the power button while connecting the charger for 10 seconds and then quickly releasing and pressing the power button again....

Chosen Solution Question is a friend gave me his macbook pro A1706 laptop. He slept on it by acident and broke his screen. Now to me i really dont think the screen behind the glass is broke. I do know the glass is broken unless its an all in one lcd screen. On this site they do sell macbook pro screens but can i just buy a glass bezel instead or do i have to buy the whole entire lcd screen and if so which one would i get....

Chosen Solution Hi, My MacBook Pro doesn’t boot without the charger. It even turns off if the charger is disconnected. Coconut battery says cycles completed are 3. But battery status is poor and battery failure says yes. I tried doing an SMC reset but I don’t know if it’s working as the battery is at full capacity. When it’s plugged in and I press the battery status button, it blinks 5 times with all lights....

Chosen Solution When I open my Mbp it goes smoothly but when I close it it pops EXTREMELY ugly. Strangely, if I open it more before closing it(in a fluid motion) it doesn’t click or pop. Please help. It seems a hinge problem to me, unless the Mac screen received lots of pressure when closed and the lid now touches the topcase when moving, but if this is the case you’d have clear signs on the painting on the back side....

Chosen Solution when my Macbook boots up the screen lights up for a second and then goes black and the laptop goes into sleep mode. Chuck Try hooking it up to an external monitor and tell us the results and we’ll go from there. When you add a new screen set it to “mirror” the original - much easier for future use I have the same problem, when attached to an external monitor or tv, the picture on attached screen is fine....

Chosen Solution I want to replace the RAM in my MBP model A1278 (early 2011). Wondering if there was a certain voltage that the RAM needs to be. When looking to purchase I see that there are options in voltage that are 1.35V or 1.5V. Do both voltages work in my version of the MBP or should I be careful and purchase only one of the above options. Thank you....

Chosen Solution During the Reflow, I accidentally burnt two capacitors near the Power button (1500uf 16v) and also the yellow black capacitors near the GPU is bulged. When I turn ON my Xbox I get a beep and then 3RROD. Is this due to the capacitors near the power button or the yellow capacitors. A lot of people have said that their Xbox 360 worked even with broken capacitors. So, I just wanna know which ones to replace....

Chosen Solution So I recently replaced my screen and when I powered back on there was no audio from front facing camera or rear facing in any application on my phone. If I open voice memos and hit record I do hear audio correctly but I’m guessing that’s because I’m using the third microphone at the bottom of the phone. Any help or suggestions. There are 3 microphones in the iPhone....

Chosen Solution I just replaced a charge port assembly on an iPhone 7 plus (A1784) because the microphones weren’t working to begin with and they worked shortly after repair but now they’ve stopped working again. I heard it can be the audio IC chip but the phone doesn’t run slow, it’s just slow to boot up. I got them working again for a brief moment but now they’ve stopped again. Anyone have any ideas on what’s going on?...

Chosen Solution I had a minor spill of soup onto my laptop two days ago, which I cleaned off with isopropyl alcohol. A couple hours later, my laptop was still turning on but was booting in safe mode, with all the keys on caps lock, making me unable to log on. The next day, my laptop just wouldn’t turn on at all. Chosen Solution Yamaha g2 golf cart I recently rebuilt a motor for a cousin and the guy he bought it from turned it all the way up to make it faster than what it should’ve ran. Well it broke a valve and it went through the piston. I already got everything in the motor fixed up and put back together. Now I’m having problems with barely pushing the gas and the motor running full speed....

Chosen Solution I was following the video to replace the fan. I just got the fan and changed it but I have a new problem. When attempting to reinstall the screen, there were screws on it that couldnt come off. Only closer inspection, I saw gold (what I call mount screws) attached to the bottom of the screws. Using a few tools, I was able to separate the mount screws from the screen screws....
