I backed up 50gbs of files in 14 hours.. and then started the sierra update. It’s been 13 hours now and the installation process is only halfway through....

Chosen Solution When I connect my MBP through a minidisplay to vga adapter to my external vizio 26" monitor the colors become messed up. Black is green or blue and there is general static on the scree. How do I fix this?!?! Yesterday, I went to the apple store and bought a mini display to VGA adapter and now it works great. So, I think that it was the adapter but thanks for all the help I really appreciate it!...
Chosen Solution OK here is the skinny… I have purchased a new Crucial 1TB SSD and have cloned it from my current 256 GB SSD from my Acer Nitro 5 laptop. I had used Acronis to do the cloning and somehow lost my 1TB HDD in the process, which I had NOT messed with, and now I am trying to figure out why this has happened and what are my options to fix this....
Chosen Solution My UPS just died, no sound, just shut off and at the same time the Cinema display went dark. Plugging it directly into the wall did nothing (no power light). Figuring it was a surge that killed the power brick, I bought a new power supply. So, even when using the new power supply plugged into the wall the power-on light on the monitor remains dark. My regular repair shop says can’t be fixed, but I noted that mother/inverter boards are only $50 online....
Chosen Solution I have an iphone 7+ home button and the touch id is not working. If I buy another iphone 7+ with a working touch Id then replace the screen and home button of my broken one. Will the touch id work? No, the Touch ID function of the home button is paired to each iPhone. The only way to get Touch ID back would be through Apple or an Apple Authorized Repair Center....
Chosen Solution I just did a battery replacement on an iPhone 7. Very clean, didn’t touch anything I didn’t need to, and was very gentile with the device. After putting together, it said Touch ID Not Available and the home button stopped working. So I took it apart again, disconnected the screen connectors, and then air blew the connectors. After doing this, the home button works and there is no “Touch ID Not Available” pop up....

Chosen Solution This really puzzles me. I bought broken phone online to try and fix and when i replaced the screen with a new one it does not turn on. I have 2 screens for this type of iphone and when i try both i get the same result, with no detection from itunes. However, after cleaning the connection ports and putting the old screen back on it works fine. Both of my other iphone 6 plus screens have been tested as working on other phones and i cant understand whats going wrong....

So i bought a new one and replaced the old one (kept the original flex cable with all the sensors because i didnt´t want to loose Face ID). Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I recently obtained a water-damaged Macbook Pro for free from a friend. After opening it up, I noticed quite a bit of corrosion on the logic board and the fan. I’ve read that removing the corrosion with 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush can be effective but I’m not sure if the damage is too severe for it to make a difference. Basically, I’m trying to determine whether or not this repair is a lost cause or if there is any chance at repairing this machine without needing to replace the logic board completely....
Chosen Solution The laptop turns on as normal but the screen is white and I am unable to do anything with it. If you tilt it, you can see that the left half of the screen has very light blue vertical lines, in different shades / sizes and patterns. My dog ‘may’ have stepped on the closed lap tap. Chosen Solution My Kindle Fire has stopped charging. It must have been damaged when it was knocked off table while charging,landing on charging cable. It worked for a while and charged if placed just so after wiggling wire. I realized that the connection inside was moving. Is it a broken wire? Can it be fixed? What should I do? Depending on which kindle fire model you have, most likely the part is soldered and will need to be replaced....

Chosen Solution I have slight water damage to a Macbook Pro 15" late 2013. I have run and tested all components and have found (3) shorted resistors. Everything else seems to have the correct values. They are the large square ones near the top of the board near the display, labeled R36 338 V69. I have not been able to locate any suppliers with these chips. Would anybody know a good place to acquire these components....
