Chosen Solution My old mac shuts down when it gets hot. I suspect fans or dust inside I second your suspect too, midsummer is the right season for it and your Mac has been around for sometime..I’d add dry thermal paste to the equation too :) replace thermal paste :)

Today when I started it the date and time are wrong and won’t update automatically even though I’m connected to wifi. It also can’t determine my location. Is this something that replacing the battery could fix, or is it unrelated? Without a battery volatile data get lost when you unplug the Magsafe, that’s normal and a new battery will surely fix the issue....

Chosen Solution Guys , All in short , i was replacing my battery and accidentally touched the battery connector metal components with the screw driver . there was a tiny spark and now MBP is not recognising the battery (x mark on batt) magsafe is always green. after much reserch , i have found that i will check some resistors around with the multimeter before giving up so i have attached two highdef images of my logic board along with this can someone good point me towards R5280 & 5281 so i can test them out ( Battery not recognized, battery indicator not working ) <– solution source i would like suggestions of any other components and how to check them ....
Chosen Solution Hello, I’m having an issue with an iPhone I have, the mic works fine in voice recorder and in front facing videos but rear facing videos you get nothing. What do I need to replace? there is a back microphone that is located on the back of the iphone near the flash component. This should fix the issue :) As Jonathan Parsons mentioned, replacing the power volume flex cable should fix the issue....

Chosen Solution After replacing screen assembly for proximity sensor not turning screen off during call the phone now does not turn screen back on after call is completed. If I press the home button the screen turns back on. Have reset phone, did not help. !! I placed a small piece of masking tape over the sensor and it;s working. This means the sensor is allowing to much light through. Now, why is the new screen/sensor doing this?...

I have an iPhone XR that for what ever reason, after a random period of time; between 3 to 30mins, will just go black. I can still hear the phone working when i click the buttons on the phone. Chosen Solution Hi, i had to replace my charging port and everything seemed to work fine after I started it. However, the phone would only stay on for a few minutes, then turn off and on. Stay on for a few minutes, etc. Now, when I plug it in to charge, it indicates it is charging, but doesn’t appear to be. I had my battery at zero and I borrowed my friends charger to charge it. I charged it a bit but it unfortunately fell on the ground during that. Chosen Solution I have a liquid damaged keyboard on a late 2011 11" macbook air. ifixit only sells the top case assembly which includes the keyboard however it is very expensive. The guide also only gives instructions to replace the top case assembly with the keyboard already attached rather than separately. Is it possible to replace only the keyboard? I did find only the keyboard for sale on ebay listed here which is significantly cheaper....

Chosen Solution Is the iFixit Suction Handle strong enough to lift the back glass of the Galaxy S6 or do I need the heavy duty suction cups? I’m also thinking of getting the opener picks, an iSesamo and a metric ton of patience… ;) @roberto_g from my experience suction handles are not normally strong enough to remove Galaxy backs but , maybe with enough heat. iSesamo tool is cool, but if you plan to reinstall the back be careful not to scratch the paint on the inside....
