Chosen Solution Long story short. I seem to have fixed some problems regarding malfunctioning thermal sensors on the logic board. However, I have some new obstacles that have popped up. After reassembling all the parts (including the battery), I tried turning on the laptop, but it would not respond. No sound, chimes or display. This has happened before just a couple of days back but I fixed it after performing a power cycle....

Chosen Solution after cutting half the lawn the mower stops and will not restart. First check the vent in the gas cap. If it is not working, a vacuum will build up in the tank and starve the engine of fuel. After it sits for a while the pressure will equalize and it will be able to get gas again. Also if it has coolant, check the level. If the starter motor turns slowly like the battery is discharged , it could be a faulty winding....

Chosen Solution Hi all, i have an iPhone SE which i fitted a new screen on only to find that there is no picture on the screen however backlight still shines. Then i reconnected the old screen, and that still worked. I cleaned the connectors on the new screen and still nothing. The new screen is for a 5S but as far as I’m aware are identical. Chosen Solution My Macbook Pro’s (early 2008, 2.4 GHz model A1260 Core 2 Duo) power button is not responding at all. I managed to power it on by shorting the power pins on the motherboard. The keyboard, track pad, etc all are working fine and I am typing this question from the same laptop. If it can be fixed inexpensively by changing just the power button and its associated circuitry, does anyone have a detailed instructions for that?...

Chosen Solution I had a light spill on the keyboard a while ago, everything seems to be working fine, apart form some sticky keys, even after I cleaned them, and the ’t’ and ‘i’ keys stopped working… Can I just buy a keyboard & replace the old one or do I have to buy the whole topcase? Also, the teardown shows how to disassemble everything down to the logic board, is there anything ‘difficult’ after that in the replacement process?...

Chosen Solution early 2011 17" unibody Macbook pro 2.3 GHz intel core i7 The kids won’t fess up to exactly how liquid got into my mac but i noticed liquid in it when i took the back off. It wouldn’t charge or boot up at all so i removed the logic board and cleaned it. I got it to charge and boot up but only a few keys work properly and there is a band running through the monitor and it is making a strange sound like a (musical)horn the mouse will bounce around and other sporadic glitches....

Will I be able to switch out the housing to the Australian back and use those antennas in Australia? Will this solve the problem? Are there any issues with this solution? First of all, have you tried configuring the APN network settings for your carrier / service provider that you are using in Australia?...

Chosen Solution This 3GS was run over by a trailer and I disassembled to try and repair but the first thing I noticed was the logic board is warped! I put a working display on it to test it because the digitizer and LCD were crushed and it’s not doing anything. Is there anyway to fix a bent board also is this what is causing it not to work? I think you can be sure that if the logic board is bent it is not possible to fix it....

Chosen Solution Hi all, Well, I got a macbook pro 15” mid 2009 from an auction nearby. I was told that the hdd was removed, and that it worked. Uhhemm, ok. Opened it to fund the hdd cable had been severed. I bought a new cable (2 actually) and have had no luck getting it to boot. I did the following: Replace cable, twice. Flashing folder resulted Cleared nvram about 25 times Cleared smc Made a boot disk Connected a hot network cable to it Usb start up disks External ssd drives Regular sata drives Holding option, and about every key option Removed hdd copletely, i did get an “install catalina” but when I clicked it went back to flashing folder [no hard drive being recognized to install] I cannot get it to go into recovery mode, no matter what i push, push and hold, dual pushes?...

I bought a 3DS XL for $35 because the top screen was cracked and needed to be replaced. So I followed along with YouTube videos to replace the screen. Unfortunately, I ran into a little trouble: I broke the ribbon cable for the camera. I didn’t realize it needed to be oriented the correct direction while being inserted back into the hinge so I was trying to gently twist it the direction I needed it to go to plug it into the connector but it ended up rippingThe tiny white hinge piece came off for the wide ribbon cable connector for the lower LCD screen....

Chosen Solution Has the Mac Mini Unibody 2014 removable and upgradeable RAM-Modules? The ram is no longer upgradeable after purchase. The Apple Store allows you to configure the Mac with 4/8/16GB of ram which you will be stuck with, so choose wisely. A 32GB version should be available shortly as Apple have issued Logic Board part numbers to Service Providers which include the 32GB model. I spoke with someone at the Apple Store (online) yesterday and she checked and said it was non-user upgradable....

Chosen Solution Today, I swapped my old Xeon 5150 processors for a pair of Intel Xeon X5355. Everything went well, had a bit of trouble getting some parts out, but nothing serious. After I reassembled the machine, it failed at giving any lifesign. Not even an LED lighting up. AFAIK, this is a sign of a failing PSU. Any other defectuous part should at least have some LEDs light up, fans start up, etc....
