Chosen Solution So I use a magnetic mat, for keeping screws and such organized, and not running away from me, during repairs. If I put a part, let’s say, a lcd/digitizer assembly. Would that hurt the part? I’ve done it many times, and had no problems. But, every once in awhile, it seems like it does. Any ideas? The little bit of magnetism in a mat of your screw drivers poses very little risk....
Chosen Solution (Series 3 LTE watch) I went to a computer store that was an Apple certified tech, And I showed them my watch but it was dead at the time, but the guy agreed to look at it anyways, they never actually charged it and looked at the display, but he informed me that my watch display was the reason my touch screen wasn’t working because it has a big crack but when you look at the actual display when it’s on there’s no distortion and there’s no display issues whatsoever the glass is cracked the top section of the touch works but the bottom let’s say 75% is unresponsive....

Chosen Solution Won’t start a cycle and the lid lock light is no flashing for an error @mountian first thing you want to do is to unplug your machine then plug it back in after a short while (I’d give it 10-15min) This will act like a reset. After that make sure that your power outlet works. If it dos not check your circuit breakers or fuses. If that checks out okay it is possible that you have a control board issue, a failed shift actuator, or a failed power door lock....
Chosen Solution Hi, my R430 Samsung laptop randomly shuts down within 1 hr of booting up, even with very minimal usage. No blue screen. Power light is either red or red flashing with amber. Battery has been dead for a while so I just run it on power. Is it most likely an adaptor problem, or a motherboard short circuit ? Does anyone know is the screen from SX530 & the SX540 interchangeable I’m afraid I can’t tell you the answer but while you’re wondering, put a watch on eBay for SX540 spares or repair, and with a bit of luck, before long one will turn up with a good screen but lens error or some other fault. My expertise is with the SX200IS but I suspect swapping the screen on a SX540 is just as easy....

Chosen Solution As the title states. I have tried resetting the tv by holding down the power button, I have replaced the main board and still the same problem. I can see the led strips do works through the small holes on the back of the tv. There are no domed capacitors on the power supply board, i dont think the tv would stay on if it was the power supply board....
Chosen Solution H i, there was coffee spilled on my MacBook near the fan. It still works fine with the AC adapter, but the battery seems to be broken. Also, the battery symbol says that the battery has to be exchanged. My questions: Do you assume it’s rather the battery or the logic board that is broken? Sometimes (especially after using it for a while) the MacBook seems to work slower or have glitches....

Chosen Solution Hello, I have a Casio WK-3800 keyboard with a problem… I have it set at its default Grand Piano setting with no other options selected. It just plays as a regular piano. No options used. Problem: the MIDDLE C key produces a LOUDER volume than any other key. It’s at least twice as loud as any other key. That is the only problem. Do you know of any reason (other than a defective keyboard) that would account for just one key, middle C, to produce a much louder tone than any other key?...

Chosen Solution So a relatives iPhone wouldn’t boot past the apple logo so I connected it to iTunes and restored it. However now when I get the iPhone on it just shuts off by itself after a couple minutes. To get it back on I have to put the charger in and sometimes it just loops the Apple Logo over and over. Sometimes it shows the dead battery logo before finally coming back on with 90% battery....

You have to use an ALS (ambient light sensor) programmer to do this. Their relatively cheap but it does add to the cost of a DIY repair.
