Chosen Solution Hi there I bought an old G4 in good condition, has airport built in. It is also 80GBHDD, and is running Leopard 10.5.8. Has 1GB ram. Anyway is good working order when plugged into Ethernet straight from modem, but I cant get it to pick up the Airport express 802.11n Wi-Fi 4th generation, that was given to me. Am I right in guessing that this should run of the modem Ethernet cable, instead of both of them being plugged in....

Chosen Solution MacBook Pro 13" 7.1 mid 2010 2.4ghz Put a brand new SSD in it, OS X sierra, reset prams, sds and still shuts off. Took it to apple and they said it was the battery, I know that the battery needs to be replaced and the Apple Store told me that I could take out the battery and just run the computer without the battery so I tried it and it still randomly shuts off with just AC power....

Wherever you are in the world you should just head to Applecare, either online or in a local store. What you are experiencing is not normal at all and will most probably lead to a Mac replacement....

Chosen Solution I have changed the screen. Everything was working fine after that. It was charging and everything was ok. all of sudden the phone won’t charge or even turn on… not sure why? i changed the battery and still nothing. any thoughts please? Chosen Solution I would like to know if it is possible to get around activation Lock on any iPhone by swapping any hardware components. I have seen online that there are a number of websites offering to do this through software but I don’t trust them not to be scams. I did see somewhere that changing the main cpu is possible but expensive and quote tricky? The equipment and training cost to replace ANY chip on an iPhone X motherboard can easily cost you several brand new iPhone X, this is not DIY level repair....

Chosen Solution As per the title, I found lots of website that claim to check for activation lock, but lots of them were misrepresenting the device (one told me it was a 16 gb version, the other a 128+ gb, when it’s a 64 gb one) so I’m curious to know if they can be reliable. Thanks! Apple shutdown their website for checking activation lock. I don’t know of any reliable site that does this now although someone else may have done more research and found a good one....

Chosen Solution This morning, my Keurig Elite B40 wouldn’t brew. I put in a K-cup, and hit the brew button, but no water came out. So, I proceeded to follow some tips I found online for unclogging the needles and checking the tubes. I had to undo the two screws underneath the top housing, so that I could pull it up and check the tubes. I saw nothing wrong with the tubes, so I replaced the screws without doing anything inside the housing....

Chosen Solution I woke up my computer the other day finding the keyboard and trackpad not working. The only button working was the power button. When the login screen shows, the keys and pad works. Chosen Solution Howdy. My boss spilt some tea on his laptop. I have taken the logic board out and inspected. It all appears fine. The machine boots and I can put the password in. It loads to about 25% across the loading bar then turns off. I can get it to boot all the way to the usable main screen, but only by holding down the esc key permanently. Once I let it go, the shutdown screen comes up and then powers down....

Chosen Solution Does all the logic board of the MacBook Pro 17-Inch have the same form factor? Does it have the same ports and cables? Is it interchangeable from 2009 to 2011 if I need to replace it? (Early 09, Mid 09, Mid 10, Early 11, Late 11) Thanks! That’s a pretty involved question that would make doing about 45 minutes of research, I’d start doing it if you want the answers....

Heating elements only work or don’t work. I suspect the thermistor etc. may be giving you the issue....

Chosen Solution Suddenly when I plug in and turn on my speaker there is a loud hiss. I’ve tried different power cables and plugging into different outlets.. The hiss is evident whether or not there is a sound source plugged in. @townband , Steve , Unplug speaker and use the guide below to disassemble the speaker and spray switches with electro-contact cleaner and remove, spray and reseat connections to see if that gets rid of hissing....

Chosen Solution Hi: I have a Macbook Pro A1278, which one, I tried to realize a internal cleaning and after reassembling, and turn it on, The equipment, boot, chime and the screen, flash for a second, but nothing else: the screen is black, no keyboard backlight, no power led indicator, fan, hard drive spin, light if Caps Lock press, even the Magsafe led is off. Chosen Solution So unfortunately last night my mid-2015 MacBook Pro Retina Display Laptop fell from precisely 17 inches and hit the tiled bathroom floor on it’s right side. It was open at the time. Hopefully you can see the attached photo, but immediately horizontal lines filled the bottom 25% of the screen and (harder to see) one black vertical line appeared in the far right of the screen (the side that took the impact)....

I’ve always heard that these things are basically indestructible and I didn’t do anything rough or harsh on it, it just stopped picking up sound one day. The phantom power on the the device I plug it into does work (I know this because other mics that require phantom power work). Chosen Solution My friend’s iPhone 4S Sprint model was recently repaired, and everything worked except the back camera. The phone will turn on normally and take pictures with the front camera, but switching to the back camera will cause it to freeze. Under closer inspection, I saw two missing components (Capacitors or resistors) near the back camera module. If possible, can any of you link me to a schematic or identify the missing components?...
