Chosen Solution So the whole proces of taking it apart went pretty smooth and putting it back together felt the same way. However, my MBP with it’s new battery was not booting, even with the battery indicator on. Taking it apart again showed that the I/O cable that we removed on step 9 was put back the wrong way (180 degrees). This probably resulted in a short circuit with the connector on the motherboard not looking good....

(It’s cheap phone the I just got for music) Hi, What is the make and model number of the phone? Have you got an SD Card inserted and “mounted” in the phone to give you more storage capacity? Check in Settings > Storage to see if there is an option to enable the SD card as the “default write disk” By default Android downloads to the phone’s internal storage (not the SD card) and this may not be enough....

Chosen Solution While replacing USB connector I’ve damaged main microphone - with hot air or soldering paste got into the holes. Recorded sound is super quiet. I’ve tried to clean them up with IPA and compressed air but that didn’t help. There’re 4 mics on this phone: 2 front facing near the bottom grill, one back facing in the top and second back facing in the bottom between 2 front facing ones....

Chosen Solution After breaking screen of my Iphone 6 I decided to change the screen by myself and managed to fail and break the phone even more. I think that I most likely mixed up the screws and got so called long screw damage. It is also possible that I forgot to unhook the battery on my first try to change the screen and that caused the problem with battery voltage....

I changed the height of cut today, started the mower, engaged the self propelled arm and processed to cut grass. The mower moved forward and cut about5 feet, then all of a sudden just stopped moving forward. I released the arm and engaged again, the mower moved forward under power, then stopped again....

Chosen Solution Hi, my iPhone 6s has the following Problem: When I am e.g. watching YouTube Videos, the Battery lasts for a couple of hours, just as expected. But when I am just swiping around on the Home Screen, it looses its Capacity very fast (around 1% every 15 Seconds). After rebooting/resetting the iPhone, the Capacity was higher again. The Battery health is at 85%, according to the iPhone, but on iMazing (PC) it always jumps between 50% and 80% for some reason....

Chosen Solution I recently upgraded my phone and left my old iPhone 6 in a draw. It was working perfectly fine before so I guess has just completely discharged its battery over the last couple of weeks. I’ve just tried to charge it and it won’t. I’ve tested several chargers and cables, checked the charging port for debris, and everything is fine. It just wont charge. Any thoughts or ideas as to how I can get this device to charge again....

In theory it is possible but it requires special equipment that cost a lot of money and very good soldering skills....

Chosen Solution I have just come into two Imac G5 A1058 1.8ghz and I was wondering if it would be possible to upgrade drive to an ssd? While the SATA HD interface would allow the SSD to physically work. You’ll encounter issues with the inability of the OS. OS-9 or OS-X Tiger the newest OS-X you can use on this system. Neither has the TRIM support for SSD’s. That’s not to say it wouldn’t work just the SSD will wear out quicker....

My USB charging port: FJDS I keep finding on ebay etc. As you can see board layout is little bit different. I unlocked my wife’s old iPhone 3G, thinking that I’ll give it more life and finally join the smartphone world, only to find that almost all the apps in Apple’s app store have been upgraded to ios 4.3 or 5. Still, I’m sure there are apps that will add value to this phone, yet there is no way to search for them by supported OS version in the store....

Chosen Solution A friend is asking. The screen is AWFUL diagonal lines and a black thing in the middle. Picture attached. I’m wondering if this is a cable problem and might actually be fixable. ? Chosen Solution I have an iLuv bluetooth speaker that stops playing any sounds after a few seconds of being on. Should I do a test with a multimeter or there is no fix for something like this? @diy_ it is always a good idea to check things out. You do want to start with the power supply and see if that is what fails. After that check the audio IC. It might help if you can povide pictures of your speakers, boards etc....

Chosen Solution Since installing Snow Leopard my keyboard will not light up in any light conditions be it completely dark in the room or not. When I place my hand over the ambient light sensor the screen still dims as it should but the keyboard does not light up. I have checked that it is set to ‘illuminate keyboard in low light conditions’ in keyboard settings and have tried toggling F5 and F6 keys which show keyboard light icon increasing and decreasing as if the backlighting was working....
