Chosen Solution I have a macbook unibody and recently replaced the display assembly (thank you iFixit!) and all works well, except that the computer doesn’t go to sleep when i close it. I did a little snooping and checked – the position of the magnet that controls the switch on the display is on the edge, and the magnet on the actual computer seems to be in a different position, on the right (as you open the mac) and a bit away from the edge....

Chosen Solution Is my Samsung NP-R580 able to recognize dual band wifi 2.4G and 5G? It depends on the wifi adapter? or depend on the driver. How can I make it to beable to detect and connect to 5G that my router emits? Sorry, But in spite the external dual band USB WiFi dongle works with my smartphone on both bands, my Samsung NP-R580 recognize just the 2.4GHz . Chosen Solution So these proprietary adaptors are proving incredibly hard to find and replace without directly contacting NVIDIA themselves, who granted replace them for free but is there any way of purchasing one or does anyone know where there is one available? The internals appear to be intact except for the charger doesn’t seem to be connected/functioning as I can’t turn it on. Chosen Solution I replaced my MacBook Air 2013 battery four months ago and everything worked fine. Then I put it to sleep for a long time. It discharged completely and now it won’t charge at all. Any suggestions? Try opening up the bottom case, unplug the battery from the logic board and try connecting the magsafe. If you manage to startup your Mac it’s probably just a matter of dead battery that needs replacement....

Chosen Solution Hi guys, I had a rather trashy looking but fully functional dualshock 4 - so I ordered a new shell, buttons, ribbon cable, etc from ebay to rebuild it. Basically everything is brand new except for the battery, motherboard, and usb board. Upon reassembly the controller works fine in the PS4 menus, but not at all in game, which lead me to suspect a stuck button. I plugged the controller into a windows 7 PC to test it, and in the controller settings *(where you test the joysticks and button assignments) it is saying buttons 7 and 8 are constantly pressed (L2 and R2 triggers) but the triggers respond OK on the analog testing axis....

Chosen Solution My son’s laptop suddenly started having problems with no obvious physical damage. The keyboard had no keys working and it will only boot up when put in a tent position at greater than 180 degrees. It will work by touch screen then but not the keyboard. When you bring the screen to about 190 degrees it will shut down every time so you can not lay it flat and extended....

Chosen Solution I have a late 2012 13" Macbook pro retina display with a damaged led. I also have an other late 2013 13" macbook pro with a damaged logic board. Now could i use the 2013" retina display assembly on the 2012 retina model? Would it work? If this works this would mean I would have a working system with parts from 2 different models. After closing the device again I noticed that I doesn’t boot up. I opened it again and saw the the flex cable of the LCD also had been damaged (see photos). It’s near [R020]… (don’t know how to call it) And another thing is my charger, the cord was broken so I can’t check if my laptop could be on or not. What can I do now? There’s not much you can do yourself probably, it’s a bad short between one of the main resistors and a mosfet, probably part of charging and/or main power line, the one carrying 12,5v around the board....

I need the optical drive controller PCB and a white flex cable. Does anyone knows a ps4 parts supplier? thanks in advance The first thing to keep in mind is that your optical drive PBC is married to your motherboard. If you go and buy another optical drive off of Ebay you will find an error when you try to play any games because the new board is not the one for your motherboard....

Chosen Solution Dear all, I encountered a very odd problem recently while trying to upgrade my mothers Mac Mini. I wanted to install a SSD drive and first purchased a Crucial M4 128 GB. Following the excellent manual provided on this website it took me just 15min to do so. Mac OS installed perfectly but the Mini would always shut down while installing Windows 7 via Boot Camp. Thinking this was an issue with the Crucial SSD, I exchanged it for a Samsung 840....

Chosen Solution Off lately I was facing this boot up problem quite often and when the frequency increased drastically I took it to service center who suggested change of hard disk. Now even after installing brand new hard disk the boot up problem still continues. So what could be the real problem? Is it the graphic card giving trouble? I am worried that constant forcible boot up may damage some other parts....

Try cleaning the coils underneath the refrigerator. Ice makers don’t like dirty coils. You can remove the back access panel and use a shop vac to get the dust off....
