Chosen Solution My macbook had a run in with some liquid but everything still works aside from the keyboard which i am having replaced, but oddly it wont go into sleep mode when selected from the menubar it will go black for about 5 sec. then wakes back up. I think its because the keyboard constantly thinks im pressing the shift key(from liquid damage), is this the reason? It could be–liquid damage does strange things....
Chosen Solution wont turn on at all,someone said its scrap but they are known to rip people off Unless you dropped it in a pit of lava, or it got wet while powered on, I highly doubt it’s scrap. Chosen Solution I have a Macbook Pro A1278 2.4GHz. While running OSX 10.6.3 the MacBook is perfect. My son got a hold of it and clicked on update. It installed 10.6.8, rebooted and now at the boot screen I get the Apple symbol and the loading circle. It then locks up and the MacBook is totally bricked. Chosen Solution Is it easy to upgrade the SSD in these machines I am pretty sure that the SSD in these MacBook Air’s are soldered, so you would probably need to replace the entire logic board. Chosen Solution I have a MacBook Pro that operates in extreme cold temperatures and it appears that the heat sink ruptured in the cold operating climate. We’ve never had this problem with our original MacBook Core Duo. The heat sink looks like it is a solid bar or metal to draw the heat away to the fan. Can anyone confirm this?
