Chosen Solution My iPod turns on with a charged battery only to show the empty battery icon and turn off. The iPod wasn’t charging through the dock connector but turned on if a charged battery was connected. A few days ago I was using a multimeter and managed to turn on the iPod connected to the charger, the iPod turned once then shorted. After some testing the IPod turned on to show the empty battery screen, while turning on the logic board overheats near the front assembly connector....

Chosen Solution I have a mid-2010 unibody 17" MacBook Pro, model A1297. I would like to add a second hard drive in place of the optical drive. I attempted to install a 9.5 mm SATA Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure, but found that the new hard drive enclosure lacks the two screw holes that are present on the original optical drive near the edge of the laptop case. I don’t feel safe installing the new hard drive enclosure without it being properly secured inside the laptop....

You’d have to use a Mac OEM or OEM upgrade… you’ll have driver and upgrade problems for the entire machine if you don’t. If you want a Mac on which you have more latitude in VideoCards you need a full desktop model MacPro....

Now usually if you were in a house you’d just get two softboxes and have them in front of you either side. These take up power and space, however the power concerns me a lot more than the space does. Chosen Solution My MacBook Air will not power on when I press the power button. If I open the back and disconnect the battery I can get it to boot by plugging the power in. It will boot and work reliably. Even with the battery unplugged the power switch does nothing to power on or off the laptop. Once I plug the battery back and then I reapply the power cord it will boot one last time and work reliably off the battery....

Chosen Solution Hi I have a Magic Trackpad original. Recently it has stopped tracking accurately - if I move my finger around on the trackpad, the cursor responds intermittently. I have installed new batteries, which the iMac recognises as 100% charged. Clicking works fine. Dragging and selecting suffer the same problems as tracking (i.e., the trackpad recognises multiple fingers, but the tracking errors persist). Now the tricky bit. Chosen Solution I’ve just replaced my 7 plus’s screen: if i plug the home button in it will start boot looping and never make it to the home page . (on new screen) i plugged the home button back into the original screen, the screen wont light up at all but if i click the home button i can feel the tapic engine clicking. If i unplug the home button from the original screen the screen, the screen then lights up and works as normal I have pulled the front facing cam in and out and it doesnt seem to have any relevance to the issue....

Chosen Solution Hi, my friend’s iPhone 7 Plus was fine with a decent battery charge, then immediately after airport x-ray security, the phone was completely dead! No life when plugged in to the wall and laptop. She read somewhere the magnetic field from the conveyor belt may have killed it?! Magnetic field from the conveyor belt…I doubt that, a zillion phones go through airport security everyday; if it were a widespread issue, we would be hearing a lot more about it....

Chosen Solution Alright, as you might suggest by the title, this is a problem that came up about a month after the first ‘accident’, so let me get you up to date: -fell into river with my Iphone SE about 1 month ago (stupid, I know) -Phone was submerged for ~30sec-1min in my pocket -screen had lines over it and it had noise coming from the speaker and it shut itself off after a couple of seconds (power button not working anymore) -dried it and put it in rice for 3-4 days -not turning on, so I opened it and cleaned the motherboard and all pins with isopropyl -left opened to dry for another 2 days and changed the WIFI antenna because I ripped a cable (stupid again, I know) -Closed it up turned it on, working perfectly besides the power button not working and some tiny water marks on the top edges....
