Chosen Solution I have new iPhone se 64gb. It was left in the closet for quite awhile. I tried to charge it and I only get the apple logo then the empty battery screen. The phone will cycle between the 2 screens as long as it is plugged in but will not charge. Apple did initial quick diagnostic and said it is the logic board. Apple wanted $275 to repair the phone which it does not worth it Is is it possible the logic board to go bad on phone that was never used?...

With that said I need my data off of the hard drive, was told it’s doable even with out the laptop turning on? And that I needed a hard disk drive adapter to transfer out the data? Chosen Solution yesterday, my macbook pro fell off from a chair, and it was in my back pack. when I turned in on, it works and the apple logo also turns on but the display shows nothing. I did all the reset of SMC and PRAM, but no luck. I connected to TV, it works fine, does that mean my screen is broken or something? If it’s lighting up a blank black screen, the LCD cable needs reconnecting....

I have taken the machine apart and cleaned it up. However, the machine was given to me quite a while after the spill. Surprisingly, other that a few sticky spots, there seemed to be little observable damage. Before the spill, the machine operated normally as far as charging, battery usage, etc....

Chosen Solution I recently bought a MBP (13" mid 2012 A1278) from an acquaintance and I’d like to see if I can’t get it working. She says she thinks she shorted the logic board when attempting to clean the fan. She said she forgot to take out the battery. I’m guessing when she went to pull out the fan something happened. There’s no obvious damage to the board, though. I’ll be getting a multimeter this week to see if I can’t find out if a particular component is bad....

Chosen Solution Hi guys. I have an MBP running Mountain Lion with a brand new SSD. I changed the HDD because I felt that my earlier HDD wasn’t functioning properly. What happens is that in the middle of my workflow, there is a blue screen, and everything hands. The keyboard lights are on, the apple logo is glowing, and suddenly the fans start rotating really fast. Thinking that it might a problem with heat, I opened the laptop up, opened the heat sink, cleaned everything in between and re-applied thermal paste on the heat sink....

Chosen Solution Hi folks, I just cracked the screen on my my late 2012 iMac and don’t feel like spending the $600+ to replace the complete display (since the screen and the LCD are one thing on this model). So I’m wondering if it’s possible to just put the boards, fan and HDD on a rack tray, and run it like that? I’d buy a cheap HDMI display and connect it to the thunderbolt port, then junk the case (display and all)....

Chosen Solution It will charge if I plug the charger in a certain way, but it won’t stay charged, it will disconnect because the charger moved or something. I’ve tried multiple chargers but unfortunately I think it’s something wrong with the Pill itself. Hi, Unfortunately this sounds like your USB port is starting to fail, what is happening is the USB ports solder is starting to crack, and the port becomes loose, which then severs the connection, with you moving the USB cable in a certain way, creates pressure on the USB port and re-establishes this connection....

Chosen Solution I recently took out the (original) battery on my 2011 MacBook Pro with the intention of trying it in another similar model. However, I realised it was a slightly different year/different battery (2010). So, plugged the battery back in and now it’s showing 100% and only 5 cycles… except I know it’s at 0% and 500+ cycles. Also when the battery is plugged in the Mac will loop through starting up and will only start up properly and work fine… if the battery is disconnected....

Chosen Solution Dog knocked over beverage and liquid got in my MacBook. I disconnected the battery and removed the logic board to clean with alcohol. Got over zealous on the little ribbon connector for the keyboard backlight and broke said connector. Found and purchased connector and it’s on the way. However, I can not find any tutorials on replacing broken connector. One site said it’s solderless replacement while another said it needed soldering....

The impurities in the water causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the PCs operating design and could damage the components. First do not attempt to turn on your computer and then you need to remove the battery as soon as possible from the computer to minimize further damage....
