Chosen Solution I was removing the microphone connector and the 2 silver pins on either side of the socket fell out and I can’t find them. Are they important and if so where can I get new ones? So on the socket there’s 5 gold pins and 1 silver pin on either side Please please help!! Cheers!! Bill You’ll need to look for them as you don’t want them shorting out your logic board....

Chosen Solution hi my phone is broken but i want my data back how cane this happen ? here is my broken phone :( I was able to move the memory chip from the defective board to a new board I got from China and I could read out all the user data. So at least with the used android version there was no encryption of the data in the memory chip....

Chosen Solution THe phone got really bent and now when it boots up its really laggy and freezes and it heats up a lot. I did a board swap and the board itself wasnt that bent. what could I do? Overheating on a flexed board probably points to a damaged IC. There’s not much one can do from a DIY perspective, board needs to be tested to find and replace the faulty component, it needs undoubtedly a skilled microsoldering Pro....

Chosen Solution Yesterday my iPhone became really slow - I tried increasing storage etc. and still slow. I restarted but my phone stopped connecting to the wifi. When I try to connect it told me the password is ‘incorrect’, but it’s not. My MacBook and housemates phones are still connected to the wifi using the same password. Then my phone kept asking me to sign up to my Apple ID, which I did, but ten seconds later it would ask again....

Chosen Solution Hi, I have replaced the front and back housing on a fully working iPod 30gb video. After being put together, The trouble is when I try and restore, I get the ‘‘Your iPod cannot be restored error code 1415. also sometimes when I try and restore it freezes the computer, till I remove it from the computer. I have tried everything, resetting the iPod, forcing it into disk mode etc etc to no avail....

Chosen Solution I wonder if I can replace my ati radeon 2600 pro for a newer PCI-e model of Graphics Card. If so, which one would you recommend? My two main concerns are the available space inside my iMac (i.e. the dimensions of the new GPU card) and if I could attach the thermal device to one of those cards (may be dissassembling them from the plastic box where they are enclosed)....

Chosen Solution I recently purchased a 6s plus on ebay, but when doing a hard reset noticed the screen look all weird for a second. Chosen Solution It wont do anything besides go to a screen that tries to repair itself I have tried to restore to factory default but it doesn’t do anything Try a hard reboot . This is done by holding the power button down till it shuts off. If it starts and goes to the same page we need to clear the memory this can be done by shutting the computer off and removing the ram for a few moments then reinstalling the ram ....

Chosen Solution Hi. My iphone won’t turn on, only recovery mode. When i tried to reinstall ios using iTunes i get 4013 error. I think the problem is nand memory, so i will in the next week replace nand memory. My another problem is no backlight, i can see apple logo only when i light it up from flashlight. Look at this photo, i think there are two missing capacitors. But what the name of their for replace?...

Chosen Solution My iPod just keeps on making the click sound and the red x still appears…hitting it isnt doing anything? any suggestions… is there someway i can disassemble it and fix the hard drive by pushing whatever is out of place back in? Chris, Hitting it isn’t going to work. That old trick only works for stuck drives, and is only a temporary fix. There is not much that you can do, other than to replace the HDD....

Chosen Solution My son spilled a soft drink on his computer. Keys are sticky to the point you can’t use the keyboard. I’m looking to replace the keyboard. I can purchase a new keyboard for around $20 but I don’t see a repair guide showing how to do the replacement. I do see an upper case is available but it’s like $125 and it’s a long multi step process but still doesn’t cover replacing the keyboard ....

Chosen Solution Hi there my MacBook was left outside, unplugged and with lid open briefly during a spontaneous downpour and had enough water on it to create a puddle on the keyboard…. was not too happy with that sight. anyway, immediately as I was trying to dry it off it still worked and I turned it off straight away and tried to drain some water off the keyboard, when I opened the back case there was a bit of water that had dripped all the way down to that case lid even in the middle....

Chosen Solution PLEASE READ: I AM DOING THE REPAIR DUE TO WHAT I HAVE – AND THE TONER IS FROM LEXMARK UNDER WARRANTY SO I DO NOT KNOW IF I CAN MOVE IT LIKE RETAIL TONER, EVEN RETAIL RETURN PROGRAM. THE PRINTER DIED RIGHT AFTER THE WARRANTY ENDED. I have a Lexmark C3426 with $300(!!!) in new toner, with a HVPS issue. At the time I replaced the unit due to the HVPS failure as I needed it for a time sensitive project (and getting rid of 45lbs of printer was not something I was keen to do), so I never got rid of the printer....

Chosen Solution My dishwasher started, but stopped a couple minutes after. It is now filled with water but won’t drain or do anything. It comes on but it is making a grinding noise and will not continue cycle. Hi @aab0414 , What is the model number of the dishwasher? it sounds as though there is something caught in the circulation pump. Open the dishwasher and set both the sprayarms in a remembered position and then start the dishwasher again....

Chosen Solution had LG stop cooling in fridge too. I replaced the evaporator fan on left it was bad. the other fan still runs. The coils on the right side are all iced up around the evaporator. wondering if the thermistor is bad with fuse?? Rob Ron, evaporator coils that are iced up on the top right of the evaporator could mean there is a restriction in the sealed system. The frost pattern on the coils should be even across....

Chosen Solution I broke one of the adhesive strips removing the old battery and it took alcohol and a lot of prying to get it out. When I did, I saw a small black wire with a bare end dangling next to the power connecter. I must have snagged it with the spudger while I was prying. Can anyone tell me what it does, aka how badly I’m screwed? It’s the cellular antenna....
