Chosen Solution I have a Mac book Air 2015 model, that only turns on when i disconnect the battery from the computer itself. when I do plug the charger it shows a green light and then it turns orange. Also i have replaced the battery and logic board still the issue persists. Have your tried SMC and PRAM resets? How to reset the SMC, PRAM and NVRAM on a Mac Laptop Update (11/07/2018) Sounds like an I/O Board issue....

Chosen Solution the other day i was changing thermal past on cpu and and i forgot to unplug battery and she i was disconnecting lvds cable i probably short the power of lcd something like that – the screen was white than you turn machine and you could see vertical lines if you look from top angle , so i took it to the shop and the guy fixed this problem , display work now but there is a wavy lines on the bottom of display like if not all leds working , i asked the guy about this and he told me that the problem in display module , so i bought a new display module , but on the new module is absolutely the same thing , not sure where to go from this ,on schematic i see this LP8550 controller i guess....

Chosen Solution My Macbook Pro won’t turn on since I tried to use a mini display to HDMI adapter. Now when I press the power button, I hear the hardisk and the sleeping light flashes one time, and if I wait 3 minutes, the screen is white for 10 seconds, and the Macbook reboot; When I close the Macbook powered up the sleeping light stays turned on. If someone can help me because I use this Macbook for my studies....

Chosen Solution This is a very old, small TV with built-in VCR. Can’t find any answers for a really old TV like this one. Probably should just throw it out. But more than anything I want to be sure there really is a problem. It is connected to ATT’s U-Verse service, and sometimes that gets in the way of diagnosing problems. But usually the whole thing goes out, not just the picture while the sound is fine....

Chosen Solution So to begin with, as stated in the title I have an iPhone 7 that is no longer powering on, before this, I was replacing the screen as my brother had dropped the phone a few weeks ago, but just the other week the phone died and stopped charging and, I just left it down to the battery as the phone is around 4 years old but as the new screen and battery arrived nothing was working, I had been told by my mum that he had the phone in the bathroom while the shower was on and that lined up with what I found on the inside as there were wet parts, so I took some isopropyl alcohol and did as through of a clan as I could and found corrosion on the underside of the logic board, what I’m wanting to know is, there any other things that could be stopping the phone from turning on, take it into a phone repair shop or should I just accept that the phone is fried....

Chosen Solution After an accident my Macbook is probably totaled (new screen and logic board), but I wondered whether you know of any external interface for the SSD? Even to an internal SATA connector would be fine. As far as I know, they only do the adaptor for the newer SSDs to either an M.2 NGFF format or PCI-E format (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Adapter-Card-t…) You may be able to then get an M.2 NGFF to SATA adaptor, then a SATA to USB cable, but it is a lot of adaptors, so I am not sure how fast or practical it would be....

You can try a reset, while the device is powered on, press and hold the ‘Connect’ and ‘Volume Up’ buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to factory reset the device. Did not help, you will then have to proceed to disassemble the speaker to locate/test/bad components/ loose connections/ ripped speakers, etc....

Chosen Solution I have a Kenmore Ice Maker M1 SA8868 in my freezer. It previously worked fine for years. I moved to a home without a water hookup, so I made ice “manually” with plastic trays. I just moved back to a home WITH a hookup, and now the ice maker won’t form “cubes”. I can make cubes manually on the low freezer setting, but I can’t get cubes to form on low, med, or high freezer settings IN the ice maker....

Chosen Solution My backlight just died on my iMac, opened it up and there is is an Electrical burning smell. I can see Mac Booting up if I use a torch - so guessing its the LED driver board is fried or potentially something in the PSU. Question 1. Could this just be the main PSU - does it have a separate feed for the LED Backlight ? Question 2. Chosen Solution On a Canon A560 I’ve owned since new, the opening and closing of the lens sounds louder, more labored, than when new. I’m fairly sure the camera hasn’t been used enough to be worn out and it has been carefully treated so no dust, dirt or grit should have gotten in to create the problem.
