Chosen Solution I am having an unstable connection with my wifi the router is not the problem because other devices have solid and stable connections but my aspire 3 (2018) model fluctuates from 3 bars to 1 or disconnects I’m looking for a wifi card upgrade if possible Before you replace the card itself I would make sure you’re running current drivers. And/or do a network reset. In windows 10 you can do that right from the Network settings pane, there’s an option towards the bottom....

Chosen Solution I have this Early 2009 Macook 2.0Ghz Core 2 Duo. I bought it with this problem where the backlight goes off at about 45 degrees and comes back on somewhere at the 120degree angle. I tried to look for parts but I cant find any inverter cables. I know these sometimes break internally and it has happened with one of my older ones, which I did replaced. I cant find the same part for this laptop when I researched it on Ifixit....

Chosen Solution It stopped heating up when I was in the middle of using it Hi, It could be any number of things that caused this to happen. A faulty cord, a faulty switch, a faulty heater element, a faulty thermistor etc. The hair dryer would need to be opened and tested with a DMM (digital multimeter) to find out exactly what and where the problem is. An appliance repair service could fix it but any reputable repairer would refuse on the basis that it would cost more in labour to find out what is wrong than what a new compatible hair dryer would cost....

Yesterday, after being hit with the flu, I bought a bottle of NyQuil and mistakingly, I accidentally allowed it to open in my backpack where my laptop charger was and it drenched it. Chosen Solution Old macbook from the missus, previously had no battery power being plugged in, no charger light. Opened and took logic board out found slight damage on the logic board. Seems its peeled abit behind that and cleaned the corrosion off already. on the back side of the laptop had corrosion on this part cleaned that off and now about to see whether the laptop will charge or not. My question is does it look like any of these chips need to be replaced?...

Chosen Solution if i replace my logic board for my iPhone 6s plus will this remove my activation lock? Yes it will remove your activation lock but a new logic board is as much as a new phone and you wont have any of the data you originally had to begin with.

Chosen Solution I am replacing a computer with Mac Office 2011. I want to deactivate Office on the old computer and re-use the product key on the new computer. I plan to wipe the drive on the old computer with a complete OS cleanup. How can I deactivate the Mac Office 2011 and make sure the product key will work on the replacement computer? Chosen Solution 15" Macbook Pro 2GHz Core Duo (2006-7) Hi all - I’m having trouble with this macbook pro… it runs perfectly fine, as long as I do NOT attach any DVD-drive/Superdrive to the logic board (internal drives). If I attach the correct drive (confirmed working parts) to the logic board… when I go to power it on, it attempts to start but almost instantly dies/turns off. You can hear the HDD start to spin up, but nothing else....

Chosen Solution To begin with, I couldn’t remember the password to my computer so what I did was tried to reset the password on recovery mode. I did “command+ R” then clicked on terminal and typed “resetpassword”. I followed the steps and entered a new password. after that I went on and re-started the computer from there. After that it tries to boot but it takes 6 minutes and after it boots it immediately shuts down....

Chosen Solution So a few days ago my phone screen got cracked and i ordered a new screen here at iFixit. When i got the screen i replaced it right away, it still turned on before the repair. so i turned the phone off and got the battery and screen disconnected. To test my replacement screen i connected that up before connecting the battery again, Once i powered it on i smelled burning plastic so as soon as i smelled that i disconnected the battery and till now my phone is dead....

Chosen Solution When trying to fix a broken dsi, I found that both fuses on my dsi are blown. I looked on the internet for information, and some people said they just bypassed the fuse. Is this OK to do? It’s not suggested to do that as any surges from charging or other means will destroy the system. Best suggestion is to buy a bunch of those fuses off eBay, get your soldering kit out and put the new ones in to protect your game system from any damage....

Chosen Solution Is it possible to use the same sata cable, the one already used for connecting the optical drive, for connecting an SSD drive bay? I mean without detaching the logic board for plugging the sata cable in a different sata slot. My intention is to install an SSD just removing the screen and the optical drive, using an ssd drive bay and an external usb case for the OD....

Chosen Solution Hey guys! So I removed my original phone battery because whenever I charged it , my phone would overheat too much without a fan. However I bought a faulty battery which ive now returned and stuck without a phone … I’m able to get a new phone in a month so I’m not keen on buying another faulty “Genuine battery” from ebay again haha xD I was wondering if I could just place my original battery back into my phone and I will carry on using the fan whenever I charge it....

And is the Glass Separate from the digitizer? i see digitizers for about $30 and Just Glass for about $12, And since the Screen is Perfect i would like to replace the glass if possible....

The iPhone 8 is not waterproof, it is water resistant. Splash, Water, and Dust Resistant3 Rated IP67 under IEC standard 60529 If the back is cracked, I would consider the water resistance to be even less effective so you should be extra careful around water....

Chosen Solution The issues with the harddrive are getting worse Now, I was forced to install Max OSX on a second partition(not a big partition, 12GB) to repair the boot record when it corrupts because of how much it happens, plus the permissions are as bad as the boot record Is this harddrive on it’s last legs? BTW, the second partition is fine update i had a odd crash that can happen randomly, the Mac locks up for the most part, but the cursor works oddly enough and i have to shut it down to get it to wrok i am going to reload the OS and supply updates on this mess update 2(this is important!...

Chosen Solution I have accidentally separated the keyboard Zif connector on my HP 15-n230sa laptop from the main board. Didn’t realise the tab was on the opposite side of the connector and stupidly prised it off the board. Please would you mind taking a look at the pictures and tell me whether this can be rectified?
