After replacing the display with an iFixit one, he reported to me that the color distortion is not as bad as it was before, and he noticed that it seems to do it more with heat. Chosen Solution Ipod used almost daily, and recharged on a charger daily. Abruptly will not charge. Have tried 3 different chargers, and Ipod does not acknowledge them (screen does not light, charging icon does not appear). Battery is down to “red line”. I noticed on the 1.33GHz board that it said “Works only in the 12” 1.33 GHz Aluminum G4. This part will NOT work as an upgrade for an 867 MHz or 1 GHz 12" Aluminum" However this notice does not appear to be on the page for the 1GHz logic board....
Chosen Solution hi, my imac from what I can tell is a regular 2006 imac but when I look in ABOUT IMAC for the info, at the top of the info box it says : person’s name imac G5 and further on down in software extension it says yes to having 64 bit. this computer was given to me by a relative but he cant remember if he’s father in law ever upgraded it....
Chosen Solution my 05 cavalier leaked all it’s coolant. i ran it w/out knowing till it died on me. filled it only to find a BAD leak. Ronnie where did you see the leak? On the engine block, radiator, thermostat housing? You seen the bad leak by just feeling it without the engine running? Very seldom will you see a bad leak with a blown head gasket or even a cracked head....

What was replaced two weeks ago; the Touch IC’s or the LCD? If you had micro-soldering work done on it, then go back to (or contact) your repair shop to see if they can take a look at their work....
Chosen Solution I just drove 25 miles and my heater was still blowing cool air but my temperature gauge never went more than a hair above thee 100 mark it is at when I started it. car ran fine all the way without hesitations or over heating. if the thermostat is bad wouldn’t the car overheat or is that only when the radiator is low? shouldn’t the temperature have been a little higher than just barely above the start up mark even under normal driving conditions?...

Here are pictures of the crack No, the water resistance is weakened once there is a crack in the glass as water can seep through that. I have a similar crack now on my watch! :( the crack is barely visible. But is it still waterproof is my first question? Let me know if you know more....

Chosen Solution I disassembled my Macbook to remove a stuck cd in the slot drive. Upon reassembly, the keyboard would not align properly on the right side (near power button, top of the bluetooth area). There is a slight bulge which I can’t seem to correct. The optical drive is tricky to reseat. The edge closest to the screen sometimes feels like it’s seated but it’s not. Carefully reseat it a couple of times, looking to see how it goes down and you’ll probably discover it....

Press and hold the power button on the laptop for about 15 seconds then release the button. Reconnect and switch on the charger (leave the battery out at this stage). Chosen Solution Answering my own question: 1: I had to make up an extender from a standard 30 pin FFC (i chose Molex 0151660325 from Digi-Key) and a 40 pin extender adapter from Adafruit, #4523. If i had it to do over again i’d get a longer FFC, so it could twist and allow setting up the MBP in a normal orientation. 2: The key caps on the iFixIt IF161-121-1 pull straight off and snap on as for the original Apple keyboard....

Chosen Solution I replaced the original hard drive on my Mac Pro early 2008 with an SSD drive, which made a big improvement the speed of the machine. I now have OSX 10.5 (for legacy software use), Boot Camp and Windows 7 installed on a spare 320GB hard drive and the original 500GB hard drive as a backup disk. The problem is, Windows will only start up if I remove the original 500GB hard drive, presumably because it’s still the Master drive and the others are slaves....

Chosen Solution So I currently work at a repair shop, and so far 1/3 customer iPhone 7/7 plus has been a success. Everything seems to be working fine except for the home button. I know for a fact that there can’t be any damage to the home button flex since I’ve removed it very carefully and installed it carefully as well. Same 4 screw and everything but no luck. I even used the customer old screen and marked it as a no fix but sadly it stopped working with the original screen as well....

On the original iPhone, the radio was on a separate board, but on the later iPhones, everything is soldered to the main PCB and there’s no way to fix the part....
