Chosen Solution new battery when I connect it sparks and engine turns over without the key Check the wires at the starter. The positive battery cable will run directly to the starter solenoid and it sounds like you have a short at there. Hope this helps good luck

I’ve been dealing with lots of A1181s lately, and I tend to go by the part numbers of the logic boards, because that is a fairly absolute and unmistakable way to reference a board, however it seems there is not a good way to cross-reference the board numbers with the early/mid/late year designations, or the classes of machines(Penryn, Santa Rosa, etc.), or to know definitively which of them has which variation heatsync (3-wall or 4-wall connectors, straight or curved), or which battery connector (Energy Star vs non-Energy Star)....

Chosen Solution It powers up but that’s all This could be an host of issues any one of which can cause this so lets start with the basic. remove the laptop battery and disconnect the power then hold down the power button for 60 seconds. then reinstall the battery and plug in the power and boot the laptop. if it works it was a case of static discharge if there is no joy lets move on to the ram ....

Chosen Solution Good Morning I have a problem with my laptop keyboard only the QWERTY ,OP,AS keys are not working as per design. When i press these keys addional keys are being inserted aswell. Example : When i Press “R” it displays as “-R” or “T” it displays as “TDG“. The rest of the keys work fine. Chosen Solution Macbook air with liquid damage, did a board cleaning and device powered back on. Now a couple month later it doesn’t power up. While trying to reset smc I notice there are no change to the charger indicator light. I suspect the power button has failed. I’m looking to jumpstart the macbook air to validate that, and if so, change the keyboard assembly. I know Macboks usually have a couple power pads that can be bridged to power it up....

Apple Genius ran tests and said the battery is failing. YouTube and Louis Roseman makes me believe it’s the logic board. Chosen Solution When I use FaceTime to video call someone they are complaining the sound is stuttering, like when noise cancellation is used but not working properly. Now I can’t seem to find if the internal mic has noise-cancelling or not, nor can I find anything that shows if it has how to turn it off. Chosen Solution I have replaced the screen on an iPhone7 Plus. everything worked before. Now several parts are not working. Home button, front camera, proxy sensor, and volume controls and sound or vibration do not work, however the slide for the ringer mute does work. I have changed the front flex cable to a new one, and still nothing different. Since the flex cable is located on the back side of the phone and not the screen part I just do not see how this would have affected the volume controls or the vibrator....
