Chosen Solution Hi All, My LG G3 is about 2 years old now and it doesn’t charge all the time with any cable unless I position the phone/cable connector at a very specific position. I’ve tried charging a different Android phone with the same cable and it may charge but doesn’t always charge the G3 unless I wiggle the connector till it charges. Chosen Solution Replaced the power supply. No drives, no RAM, no pci cards, no video cards, no DVD reader/writer. I plug in the power cord, and it powers up, fans spin normal, front LED is solid white. Nothing else. Battery checks ~3.0V. Not sure what to do. Unplugged it several times, drained the power supply with ~10s front boot button pressed. Sat overnight unplugged several times. LEDs showing nothing. It’s in my garage, around 5°C, so it’s not overheating instantly on power-up....

Chosen Solution I’m hoping someone has a suggestion to help me fix my Mac which seems to be bricked. Currently when I boot my Macbook Air 2014 it loads the prohibitory symbol and doesn’t seem to go anywhere from here. If I try holding down CMD & R it loads Internet Recovery Mode. This is able to connect to the server and starts downloading. I’ve managed to get to the recovery screen once where I was going to try wiping the hard drive but I couldn’t see the hard drive there....

Chosen Solution At first, the status of my battery said ‘replace now’, this was after i had replaced my broken keyboard with a new one, i had no battery problems before then. The percentage was stuck at 5% and would keep restarting by itself, even with the battery disconnected, running it from the magsafe. This made me think that it wasn’t actually a battery problem but some kind of software problem which was somehow started from replacing my keyboard....

Chosen Solution Hi there, My MacBook Pro Retina 13 inch Late 2013 won’t turn on after I changed the thermal paste. I cleaned the CPU with Articleaner, the thermal paste is arctic silver 5. While cleaning, a little bit of the thermal grease and cleaner got around the cpu and motherboard. Auto-Brightness : Option no longer available. Lower Speaker : Does not work. Apple Pay : Will not detect devices. When i try to restore the iphone in DFU mode i get around 200mb of files downloaded from itunes and my phone turns back on.I tried several times , I waited for the resore to finish but nothing happens. That’s because it’s taking too long to download the iOS system firmware and once the phone has exceeded being in recovery mode past 5 minutes it will just kick itself out of recovery mode and try to boot or boot into recovery mode automatically again....

Chosen Solution I’m in the process of replacing the LCD on an iPhone 8. In the past (on older models), I’ve always tested the LCD prior to transferring all of the LCD assembly components. However, when I connect the LCD ribbon cables and power up the phone it only displays the Apple logo. If I disconnect the battery and reattach the LCD cables of the OEM screen the phone boots up....

Chosen Solution I found an external storage drive (technically a hard drive inside some plastic) made by Toshiba in my parent’s basement today. They weren’t using it anymore so I decided I would use it for my MBP. When I went to erase it so I could use it again (the storage was maxed) the process of erasing the hard drive inside the enclosure took FOREVER (appx. 4-5 hours) before it finally threw an error in disk utility....

They appear to have the same form factor… Sorry no, its more than the shape of the logic board ‘form factor’ The connection points for the switches and outlets within the case are not the same to start with…

Chosen Solution I got one of these in last week with a keyboard liquid spill. It will not power up. Due to the cost of the upper case and inability to change out just the keyboard, my customer decided not to attempt repair and traded in in to me for a working machine. Now I have a possible source for some very high dollar parts and replacements keys (which I have been unable to find)....
