Chosen Solution I recently acquired an iPhone 4S (A1387) from one of my teachers, and it was in pretty rough shape. The screen is severely cracked to the point where the main logic board is visible. I tried plugging it in to my computer but the screen wouldn’t turn on. When I plugged it into a 10W iPad charging brick, it started booting, and then turned off again. It did this a few times until it finally was able to get onto the lock screen....

Chosen Solution Alright, so about 3-4 days ago, I decided to go looking for answers for the reason why my 6 plus had an unresponsive screen. I found a quick fix with the use of folded electrical tape on the touch ic chips on the back of the logic board. The repair was going great until I accidentally snagged the wifi antenna. The antenna broke, and I don’t have any soldering tools, so I couldn’t resolder the antenna....

Chosen Solution I foolishly put a disc into the slot on my 2007 Macbook and it immediately got stuck. I haven’t done this for years but thought I’d give it a try. Bad idea. I don’t care if the disc stays in there forever, as long as it won’t harm my computer in any way. Any advice? Reboot pressing on the mouse pad and it should eject. Chosen Solution I have a crack on my note8 and have seen replacement glass up for sale can the glass by itself be replaced on this phone? I wouldn’t bother personally. Only professional screen refurbishers can do this without damaging the screen. You would need to replace the whole LCD screen assembly if you want to fix it. With the right equipment yes, currently the only method for a glass only repair you will need a cryo freezer to break the adhesive away from glass and lcd....

Chosen Solution I have a macbook pro early 2011 with OS 10.11.5 and I would like to know if is worth it to upgrade airport/bluetooth (from 2.1 to a 4.0) board in order to have bluetooth 4.0? Chosen Solution I was working on my phone as it has touch ic disease, and until i got the money to fix it i was placing a little piece of stock paper under the heatsink that fastens agaisnt the sceen connector ribbons(done this before with no problems). The phone was working right before this, I had even fixed the front camera earlier that day, and when i try to turn it on that screen is black....

Chosen Solution After attempting a repair to my macbook pro this weekend, I reassembled it. The power button does not work. I have read a bunch of topics on inserting the keyboard ribbon cable and how difficult it is, and that this cable routes the power button to the logic board. I have spent a lot of time fiddling with this cable. I’ve attached a photo of the cable in its current state....

Chosen Solution UPDATE 1: When I boot the computer up with the external display connected and powered externally, AND with the ribbon connector plugged into the built-in LCD, but NOT the 12-pin inverter cable I can see, with a flashlight, the working desktop on the built-in LCD. UPDATE 2: I was able to get an LM240WU2 LCD (that I was assured was working - can’t vouch for that though) and popped it in my iMac....

Chosen Solution I was given tablet it will turn on but then goes to screen saver and wont unlock, Hi, Try performing a factory reset using the Volume and Power buttons to restore the tablet. Be aware that a factory reset will erase all user data and downloaded apps. It will restore the tablet to a factory default condition. It will be like it was when first bought. Chosen Solution I purchased a MacBook off eBay in hopes of repairing it, the description said the keyboard is buggy and types different characters other than the ones you have pressed. I was wondering if anyone could list the possible problems it could have that would result in such behavior. Upgraded my iMac 27in mid-2010 from i5 to i7 and also replaced original HD with a 2.5in 1TB HD (already installed a 500GB SSD as startup disk prior). I now experience some strange speed problems, when the fan kicks in my mouse freeze for a few seconds and then as the fans slow down I can move my mouse again, this happens very often since the upgrade and its like an advance warning when the fans turn on I expect to have my mouse frozen....
