Chosen Solution Hi all, I’m working on an xbox 360 that I got off ebay listed as having “no power”. I checked the usb ports, there is one damaged port, I straightened the pins. I cleaned the motherboard and fins of both heatsinks and the fans. I also did the reflow of the chips, just in case. I just want to know if it’s ok to plug up the board while it’s in it’s metal frame without going to the trouble of applying thermal paste and heatsinks, just for like 1-3 seconds to test for power....

Chosen Solution I have had this iMac for about 5 years at this point and I would like to upgrade it as it is getting slow. Apparently it is very difficult to upgrade, thus I want to ask, is it possible at all to upgrade the CPU, logic board or RAM on this computer and is it worth the effort? Sorry Apple sometimes makes orphan systems ones which are the only one in a series....

Chosen Solution When pulling the stock hard drive and replacing it with an SSD in a 2011 27" iMac, is it necessary to transfer the electrostatic pad to the SSD? I just finished my upgrade and looked down to see the silver electrostatic pad still on the old drive. Rats. I am hoping that this was needed because of possible static build up from an old-style spinning drive and isn’t required with an SSD....

Chosen Solution I purchased a new battery from iFixit (FTW) and after replacing and letting my battery drain, I started charging it to calibrate the battery. Unfortunately the battery will not charge and stays at 1%. It also restarts on occasion, then I see 100% battery life on the screen and then shuts off. When it restarts, I see 1% battery life on the screen. Probably got a bad part. This happens from time to time especially with batteries....

Chosen Solution When playing in handheld mode, both of my joy-cons don’t say on the switch rails. They slide out even when I don’t press the unlock button to do so. How can I fix this and can I do it without the need to open up my joy cons? Now it sometimes stays on for around 15 minutes but then “clicks” off. After that, I am not able to boot up for around 5-10 minutes. Chosen Solution The lens is stuck in the out position and the screen shows a blurry image. Then, after a moment it goes black and reads “lens error, restart camera” over and over again. Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it’s sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera’s been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension....

Chosen Solution Hello guys, While I was taking out my battery I ended up peeling this part of my logic board off.. I’m not sure what it does but will my phone still work when that black piece is hanging off? You phone will work fine. It is just a sticker; you could use some double sided tape to stick it back if you wanted it to look nice.

Chosen Solution Hi, I have a MB A1181 that doesnt power on when press the PWR button, I tried to PWR it with and without the battery with same result (no power on). Also the battery is not charging, the MagSafe connector shows the charging status (solid amber) on the connector and after 3 or 4 hours got the charged status (green status) but the battery charge status is not blinking and macbook still not powering up....

Cleaning motherboard (ultrasonic cleaning)test with DCPS , found short on VCC_Main (C5625_RF)After removed short, phone only goes to 0.08amp (DCPS)I check the charging voltage (showing 1.71V / 0.07amp)Changed tristar and the charging goes back to normal (4v / 0.42amp)But the device still not boot upTry to restore iTunes (Showing error 4014)Probe around the board and found short on PP_1V0_SMPS5 linesafter removed BBPMU_RF, the PP_1V0_SMPS5 lines still shorted to ground....

A new screen was working fine after tested everything, Now, when I closed the new screen on the phone to put final two screws, display just disappeared and was turning on and off and it is keeping turning on and off for long. Chosen Solution That will absolutely not fit. That being said, I see there are som china copy housings available for your model with a glass backside on Ebay. I would be skeptical about the quality of those, but if its important to you, you could give it a go.

Chosen Solution My iPhone does not charge with most cables (sometimes it works but very rarely) and the battery dies very fast. I send it in because it was still under warranty, but they sent me this picture to show there is water damage (so they can’t repair it). Is the damage irreversible? Can I fix it myself? Which guides should I follow: change the battery, the docking station, what to do about the water damage?...
