Chosen Solution Hi! For the last month after carrying my Macbook Air in my backpack the Keys q to o are not functional. I have to repeatedly push them very hard and often until they work again. I suspect a bad contact somewhere, any ideas where? It’s just these Keys, “P” for example always works as intended. Will a Keyboard replacement solve this problem? Thanks for the Help. Chosen Solution Laptop Battery not charging “plugged in, not charging” Check the Lenovo Vantage app. It will tell you battery condition. It also allows what is called a “threshold”. If the battery reaches this threshold (i.e. 75%), the battery will stop charging and display “plugged in and not charging”. If that didn’t pan out, turn off the laptop, unplug the charge cable, and remove the battery for a bit. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds....

Chosen Solution I have an HCL laptop which on startup freezes completely. Following is what happens: The start button is pressed and the laptop switches on…The laptop surpasses the BIOS screen…The laptop is dualboot b/w Ubuntu and Windows, I can choose either…It will work for 10 mins maximum and freeze (screen freezes, nothing else works)… Need help… Have you tried to overclock it because that can cause the hardware to freeze if not then have you installed anything recently if so boot in safe mode and remove it and see if that works

Chosen Solution I have a customer with a lighting jack that only charges with one side of a cable. Have tried multiple chargers. Lighting jack replacement needed? Yes Jose. Replace the dock connector and it should be good. Always remember to rule out parts first.

Chosen Solution After a lightning strike that bypassed our powersurge board by entering in via the printer (connected via USB and not on the surge protector) my imac, although in much better condition than the printer, had the immediate problem of two USB ports not functioning and after a couple of weeks the audio out jack stopped working. Everything else is fine. Any suggestions as to what i would need to do to repair this before i start poking about?...

Chosen Solution I followed the guide to install an additional SSD in my iMac (27’’, mid 2011). After I put everything back in place, it won’t start. When I press the power button, the fans start to spin for a short time, then stop, then start again, and so on. Is there any indicator to figure out what’s wrong? I checked all connectors I disconnected when disassembling, they’re all back in place....

Chosen Solution I noticed my Mac had a swollen battery and I took it out and bought a replacement on ebay. I replaced it this past Saturday and it was lagging so bad that I though hmm maybe my memory is too full so I wiped it. That didn’t make a difference I ran a disk repair nothing as well help…. Try an SMC reset and NVRAM reset (links below). The 2012 and older MacBook Airs will lag when the battery is very low, so this could indicate an issue with the new battery....

Chosen Solution My wife spilled some water on her MacBook Air (early-2015) a few weeks ago. This killed the battery, but after letting it dry out I found the machine still powers up. However, it gets stuck during boot on the black screen with the Apple logo and progress bar. The progress bar eventually reaches the end, but remains stuck at this point, even after 24 hours. I was able to boot from a Ubuntu usb and have installed Ubuntu, which boots very quickly and with no problem....

Chosen Solution After sitting over night I will turn on my Macbook Pro and begin reading emails, out of no where it will restart. Then it will restart two more after startup before it will stay on. Then randomly throughout the day it will restart. Below is what the Panic Reports reads after it stays on. Any ideas? Chosen Solution Hello, my touchscreen is behaving erratically after I dropped my phone. The top of the screen popped out of the frame (as it did a couple of times before) and now the touchscreen is having a mind of its own. Sometimes it clicks by itself, sometimes it doesn’t let me click and it seems to be registering a lot of weird gestures that are straight lines from bottom left of the screen towards top right (look at the attached screenshot)....

About a year or so ago, when I open Microsoft Word or another office program, it comes up with a prompt screen telling me it’s not activated and to change the product key, error 0x8007232B. I looked on the back of my laptop (Windows 7) and it has a product key and so I typed that in but it says it still doesn’t work....

How hot was it getting? Was it warm or too-hot-to-touch? Do you find that it charges properly? Does the battery last for a reasonable amount of time or does it die within an hour? Android is installed on the internal NAND or ROM of the phone motherboard....

Chosen Solution So I dropped my laptop on move-in day at my university. I dropped my laptop on its corner close to where the headphone jacks is located. The jack no longer works, the laptop does not detect and anything plugged into the jack. The jack looks fine, but I think something may have been broken internally. How should I go about this? I have a Weller soldering iron with temperature control (60 Watt) so I am totally puzzled. It melts solder from my roll and I have tinned the tip. Does Apple use different solder? Chosen Solution Hi. Currently I am disassembling my iPod Touch 4G. A few minutes ago I lifted the screen off and started removing the EMI shield. Sadly I did cut off some copper wire that connected the EMI shield and the rear camera (picture included). Is it a critical damage, can I still use my iPod? Picture: Cutting some of the EMI shield is not critical What would be is the flex cable from the camera ro the logic board was cut then you would have no camera function
