Chosen Solution if i replace the motherboard will i lose all my phones content, and will i still be recognized by by carrier as having the same phone numbre nine in general, the motherboard is the phone. Anytime you change it you will lose any content that is not save anywhere else.

Chosen Solution My i pod touch has not worked wifi anymore since i dropped it. everything works well except wifi. how can i fix this problem….? please give me a tip…thanks. there are contacts between the wifi antenna and the logic board your 1st gen iPod touch - these contacts just join with pressure, not soldered or permanently connected. I’m guessing that when you dropped your iPod you may have dislodged the connection to the antenna?...

Chosen Solution Is it ok for me to put this entire logic board into 70% isopropyl alchohol? Its a last ditch effort to save puctures I believe it would be ok, submerging in rubbing alcohol is a standard practice, let it sit for an hour or two and it may solve your problem.

Chosen Solution Hopefully it’s as simple as the title suggests, but is it possible to upgrade the memory on the memory and SSD? Doing searches and I’m still kinda confused since there are a plethora of answers out there and more so for the 2015, but not so much for the 2016. Chosen Solution Whilst replacing my iPhone 6s screen, the device was powered off. However I did not disconnect the battery. Whilst reconnecting the ribbon cables, the phone turned on accidentally and the screen flashed on for a split second before going dark. Everything else works, the phone is fully functioning including touch screen, but the display can now only be seen faintly when shining a light onto it leading me to believe the backlight filter has shorted/blown....

Chosen Solution Can I upgrade my old touch pad with the new glass buttonless touch pad? I’m sorry, it’s a totally different install with a totally different connector. It might be possible with extreme modification, but in terms of just swapping parts, it can’t be done. while you may not be able to put the unibody’s glass trackpad on your MacBook Pro, you can take the top case from a Penryn generation 17" and install it on yours....

Apple’s intention is that the battery should not be replaced by end users. In practice, as iFixit’s iPhone 6 Teardown illustrates, the battery is socketed, and fairly easy to remove once the display is removed. In the future, as with every previous iPhone, there will be aftermarket replacements for the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus batteries, so that DIY users/repairpeople can replaced failed batteries....

Chosen Solution I recently dropped my phone and everything works perfectly fine, but the colors on my phone seem off and are a bit darker than usual. It kinda looks like an old computer screen. I tried resetting it, & also did a hard reset but it still looks the same. Will I need to get the LCD replaced or is there something else I can do? Chosen Solution Sure it isn’t an mid 2012/early 2013 model? These have common GPU issues (which Apple is repairing free of charge until the end of the year), haven’t heard of this issue on the late 2013 model before, they are generally quite reliable. I would check the thermal paste has been applied properly first, if it was refurbished there is a chance it was liquid damaged previously and ultrasonic cleaned in the past (the heatsink would have been removed to do this)....

Chosen Solution I washed 5 loads yesterday - put in the 6th load - washer filled with water than shut it self off - any suggestions First unplug it for five minutes to allow it to reset. This sounds like a lid switch problem. Did you get any error codes after the reset? Like Mayer suggests, turn the knob to advance the cycle forward (sense->fill-> wash ->spin-> drain….) …to see if anything happens…....

Chosen Solution The incorrect pass code was entered by kids playing. I have no way of knowing how many times but it must be more than 5. The phone subsequently died and when recharged the “disabled for 19,020 minutes” appeared and it has been counting down since. The clock is reading January. I don’t want to wipe it and start again as there are still some pictures, contacts and IM’s I hope to recover....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’m about to purchase the iFixIt replacemente screen for my broken iPhone SE… Does it has the same or almost the same quality/resolution as the original one or it’s way worse like a 20/30 euro cheap one? Can someone tell me the specifications or share their experience with this? Ifixit screens are good quality. And they also come with lifetime warranty I believe. If you want to be assured of full original parts, take it to Apple, if not, you can be assured that the parts are good quality....

I’ve checked a few other threads here so have checked the modem firmware - it has a number there. I’ve reset network/APN settings, put the sim in and out and have reset the phone entirely.. My sim card works in another phone, so it’s not my account. Could the antenna be broken?
