Chosen Solution I have a MacBook Pro late 2016 Function Key model that was recently used by a student to do lots of important assignments & research - but it’s not booting any more - instead, displaying a low battery error briefly even though the (tested working) charger is plugged in. It is going to Apple Store for “repair” (ie replacement) under warranty, but is there a way to force the MacBook Pro to operate without the battery connected to the logic board - even if it’s only in disk transfer mode?...

Chosen Solution Frankly I would just use a hair dryer or heat gun (variable temp). A wet paper towel is risky! The water could sneak in! The other factor is it doesn’t have enough heat mass. For difficult things to heat up safely, I wrap therm in a clean cup towel, turn my toaster oven on to bake and sit them on top for a couple of hours.

Chosen Solution I have a Hisense TV model number 50K610GW it has sound but no picture I was looking online and I saw where it might be a problem with the t con board is this true that the t-con board can be the problem. Remove back and plug TV in and noticed that back lights were in fact working. Please help. Randy Smith yes, it is possible. Measure the fuse on your T-con board for continuity and after you turn tth TV on mesasure the voltage going to the fuse....

Chosen Solution Hi there, my SSD is dead and I need to replace it with a new one. This is the one I’m looking at: OWC Aura Pro X2 SSD It says to update to OS 10.13 or later before installing the new SSD. But… how can I do that if the computer isn’t working properly at the moment? Chosen Solution I’ve started experiencing random crashes (maybe they’re kernel panics. I’ve gotten the “your mac was restarted because…” screen once) recently that may have to do with the memory or the logic board. I could use some help finding the root of the problem. Here are the symptoms I’ve been experiencing: Computer randomly freezes (mouse and keyboard input stops working), then the screen goes black, computer restarts. Same symptoms as above, but while the screen is frozen I hear 3 system beeps before screen goes black....

Chosen Solution Laptop: HP Pavilion 14-b109wm. Running Windows 8. My father’s laptop isn’t working. When you turn it on it starts to load Windows 8, but only says “Preparing Automatic Repair” then goes to a black screen. I tried holding the power button for 20sec, but there was no change during start up. I restarted again and tried holding F9, F5, F10 to try and run a self diagnostic test, but that didn’t work either....

Mark Sounds like an issue ive had, Did you try to take out a Ram card and or Replacing the ram card? Heat, dust, corrosion eventually makes ram fail which leads to the system failing to boot....

Chosen Solution I damaged the screen LVDS (video) connector when replacing the drive on my 2017 4K 21.5 iMac. I was able to remove the damaged connector with a soldering iron. I have a new connector ordered from china. Unfortunately, the mounting pads on one side were ripped off . I think those are just for mechanical support but not sure. If anyone knows it would be appreciated. Hi Those big side pads only connect to ground and are just there for support I wouldn’t worry too much about putting them back on,I would put a small amount of superglue at the side of where the pad was to help with giving it some strength You could also use some really thin solder wick and fill it with loads of solder then carefully scrape back some of the solder mask to make it into a pad(If you need step by step instructions I can give you them but I think the glue is probably the better option) Hopefully this helps Any questions please ask Thanks:-)...

Chosen Solution Hi, I´m having some issues with my MBP mid 2012, it won’t turn on unless I hold the power button for about 10 seconds. I already tried safe mode, SMC, PRAM and nothing seems to be working. I even installed the latest OS available but nothing happened (it didn’t even changed anything in the system) I also tried factory reset and once completed absolutely nothing changed. All my programs are there and it looks like it was just off and then on....

Chosen Solution Ive had my Mac for a couple years now, A1278 early 2011 i believe, without any problems until a month or two ago. It began to stop charging. The magsafe would not light up at all and id have to pull it off and put it back in over and over, with a little tweaking and adjusting to get it to connect. two days ago it stopped completely. no matter what i try, i cannot get the charger to light up and charge....

Chosen Solution A couple days ago my personal iphone 7 plus started malfunctioning severely. First, the mic stopped working during a phone call, then the earpiece speaker refused to work. Tried powering it off, and doing a hard reset. The result was a boot-looping device for the next 30 minutes. It finally stopped boot looping, and i was returned to my home screen.
