Chosen Solution Hello Everybody in this great place. Please I am in serious need of your help, iPhone 5 was working in good condition before the mystery. It does not fall to the ground, the phone just went to stuck on searching where the network bar is. Things that I had done to help myself… I have set the time and date to the accurate, i have remove the battery to re-clip, adjust the time and date to correct one, i have reset the network setting on the iphone5 menu but searching still but the sad thing for me now is that the phone shows BLANK Modem Firmware and shows no IMEI at all, I am so much afraid to restore this phone on iTunes because i would not want the phone baseband Chip to damage because i cannot get the babaseband to replace here… please I need advices about what steps should be taking or what i have to do to make my friends iphone5 work again with Sim network function....

Chosen Solution when the key is turned to the on position ONLY the starter engages and keeps running while the engine is running. if you put it in N,D,R,1,2, THE STARTER STOPS BUT IF YOU TRY AND PUT IT BACK IN PARK THE STARTER TRYS TO ENGAGE Hi John, That is a common issue when the starter solenoid starts to wear out and begins to stick. Replacement of the solenoid and or starter should clear up the problem....

Chosen Solution So just the other day, I dropped my Alcatel onetouch pixi 4 in a solar powered water fountain, it landed top first into the water, I immediately took the phone out, took out the battery, SD card and SIM card, and put it in rice, when I was using it, I noticed the device was getting very hot, I was very concerned about it and I’m trying to take it easy on my phone (for example, not using it much) but it still overheats for no reason....

Chosen Solution I charge my Iphone so it shows aplle logo, and then it turn off. It keeps repeating over and over again. How do i fix it? The first thing to check is the condition of the battery. If the battery is the original or hasn’t been changed in several years, it may simply be fully depleted. When troubleshooting battery/charging issues, I would do the following (in order): Always try another Lightning cable and charger, preferably Apple original or MFi certified units....

Chosen Solution Due to an unfortunate canoe incident, my iPhone X sustained water damage - I opened it up and tried to dry it out, but to no avail. It’s currently stuck in a constantly rebooting cycle where the Apple logo appears for a second, then restarts. No success on doing a restore either. Screen appears to be intact. I had a full backup so no need to keep the phone....

Chosen Solution I dropped my phone and now it has a slight bend. Should I get it fixed? Since the iPhone logic board inside is firmed to the housing with screws, there might be consistent pressure on it that could lead to troubles sooner or later. Screen too may be working bad and create issues. It would be a good idea before replacing screen to straighten the housing or replace that part too after removing the logic board....

Chosen Solution I’ve had this DC970 for a while after the chuck failed and I had to break a busted bit out and oil the chuck to hold up. I’ve always jokingly said my oiled chuck will last longer then the 2010 batteries and I was right. One of my 2 batteries is at the point it initially had 16.54V with 3 bad cells and all of the remaining cells held a perfect 1....

Chosen Solution I have a spare-blocked/dead iPhone and want to know is I can replace my current cracked screen for the 1 on the blocked phone? They are both iPhone X (same size). Yes this will work fine. Remember to transfer the earpiece speaker and front sensor assembly to maintain face ID.

Chosen Solution I was replacing the fan (why did it overheat?) and noticed a disconnected plug at the top. I don’t know when it got unplugged but I was also getting a 2STF/1/4 (no hd) error and wonder if it was because of the plug. thx Yes the plug you describe is the hard drive ribbon data cable. It snap under the logic board. The cable brings power and transfer data to the hard drive....

Chosen Solution Hi, while changing my screen I tore the home button cable at the base to where it loops over. Is this a fixable tear? If so, how or by who? Hopefully, the image works. Thank you in advance! Home button doesn’t work and I’m stuck on the Press home to upgrade screen. An experienced micro-solderer can fix that for you. Might want to try a few repair shops that do micro-soldering to fix that....

Chosen Solution I swapped my Macbook Pro 15" (A1286) 2.53GHz keyboard with a Macbook Pro 15" (A1286) Core i7 2.66. After swapping both keyboard i encountered problem with my backlight. Now it’s only illuminating at the center. How should i fix this problem? Thank you! Update Hi, this seems to be a common problem… it happened to me in 2 different MacBook Pro 15" Unibody systems. I have to disassembly both (in different situations) and once they where reassembled with complete care and reconnecting everything (even the backlight cable that’s under one of the coolers) the keyboard backlight is uneven, mostly at the center....

Chosen Solution Hi everybody. I recently found one of the screw securing the back of my macbook on my floor. Turns out the thread which is holding it it is dead ( I probably didn’t screw it well last time I opened the macbook). Luckily the parts where the thread is located is easily changeable. It’s just under the aiport/bluetooth bracket. Un-luckily, I don’t know where to find this piece. If someone can help me out, it would be much appreciated !...

Chosen Solution Hi! I have a Kenmore 110 series washer with exactly the same issue. When the spin cycle engages, there is this terribly loud knocking noise and when the cycle completes, my clothes are still wet. The drum/ tub still moves no problem in the wash cycle. So is this a symptom that I should get the belt replaced or is it a transmission issue? Thanks! Chosen Solution So, the bloody grey screen. no Apple logo! Now I thought it was either the HDD or the infamous cable. Without doing anything, the folder and question mark icon starts flashing after a long pause on the grey screen upon startup, then auto shuts down after awhile. If I remove the HDD, then I get a forbidden icon… again, it auto shuts down after awhile. I created a Mojave USB installer without realizing this 13” MacBook Pro (early 2011) isn’t supported and managed to get it to boot a couple times, after holding on the the button for a loooooooog time....

Chosen Solution So, I built a franken mac from a pair of dead Macs. One had a dead logic board, the other had a dead power supply. Or at least so I was told. Once all was said and done, I had a machine that would turn on, but it seemed to have some quirky freezing. So, I opened it up and reseated the processors again. Now, when I turn it on, I hear a click from the power supply, the fans kick in, and the machine turns on....

Chosen Solution Hey guys, I recently got a MacBook pro 17’’ from early 2009. There are no problems to it, if there weren’t those purple lines on the screen. They are not everywhere, only on completely white spots, and they disappear in the area around the mouse-icon. On start up and shutting down, the entire screen turns green for a sec, when it would be supposed to be black. In my eyes there are 3 possibilities....

Chosen Solution I suspect this MBP 17 2009 has potentally multiple issues. For one the dedicated GPU (9600m gt) seems to be broken. I cannot boot without it being disabled (nvram fa4ce28d-b62f-4c99-9cc3-6815686e30f9:gpu-power-prefs=%01%00%00%00 or with nomodesetfrom a live linux usb stick ). The internal gpu (9400m) works fine then though. I checked the usual suspect c7771 capacitor (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pvy-WrDd…) but I measured 1.15V, which seems normal, right? Anyway as I’m fine with only the internal GPU working, this issue wouldn’t be as daunting IFthe MBP won’t boot from cold....

Chosen Solution I am missing the “whatever” is right above where the charger plugs into the cleaner. What is that and where/how can I find a replacement? When plugging in the charger, no lights come on and it appears not to be charging. Thanks. Chosen Solution Tried swapping the battery, both batteries show the Apple Logo for 3 seconds before shutting down as long as the power button is held down. If the power button is let go early the phone immediately shuts down. Original battery is measuring 4.2 volts and new battery is at 3.7 volts. I was able to get the phone into DFU mode and attempted flashing with 3uTools and iTunes. iTunes fails with error 2009 and stays on an Apple logo in restore mode....
