The 13" MacBook Pro (Early 2011) only offers a SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) interface so you won’t get more performance than what the interface of the system offers. With that said, your current HD is not even close in pushing the SATA limit here. I would recommend upgrading the drive to a SSD drive but you’ll need to stick with one of the 2....

Chosen Solution I just replaced my screen using one of ifixits screens and guides and the colors just seem off. They dont seem bland or dull, they just seem different. Also, maybe its just me being aware of it but everything seems crisper (i know thats a good thing but its still not normal and im wondering if there is anything wrong.) Disconnect the battery, and try to re-seat the screen connectors....

The cover glass is fused with the LCD panel so you can’t replace it alone. As far as using a older display thats not possible either. Chosen Solution Pretty sure screws got put in wrong place wondering if you have specific chart for 6 s plus or if 6plus is fine?? Take a look at this guide and use digital calipers to insure you put the right screws in the right place. Failure to do so can cause severe damage to the logic board.

Chosen Solution I have a mid 2011 11” Macbook Air that appears to have an issue with the battery or the dc power board. I have a few questions and I’m hoping someone with more knowledge will be able to answer them. The 2011 A1370 powers on without a battery but the fans immediately kick into high gear and continuously run as long as the machine is powered on even though the board remains cool/appears nothing is overheating....

Chosen Solution one of the plastic locking lever for the Screen Digitizer connectors broke. I cannot lock it back in place. how can i get a replacement part for this? If you are replacing a broken digitizer then just use a piece of mylar from the old connector and cut a small strip the exact size and slide it in on top of the connector with the damaged clip. This will put the pressure on the connector the same as the clip and if done correctly will allow the new digitizer to work properly....

Chosen Solution My MacBook A1278 Screen intermittently goes dark. I can see that the display is still working with a flashlight. If I press the brightness buttons I can see that the increase/decrease bar is working. This model does not have an inverter as it is LED lit Because I can see the display working, I assume that the logic board and drivers are good. I am guessing that the intermittent part eliminates a problem with the WLED fuse on the on the logic board not supplying power to the LED, and perhaps the LED itself....

Chosen Solution I have a Macbook Air (2013). It is overheating and shutting down. It seems to shut down at around 100+ degrees C on the cpu (using magican poster to track it, but don’t know how to generate a temperature log file to see the exact temp at shutdown). It gets there when the cpu operates at around 50-60% (again not sure about this because I don’t have a log)....
