Chosen Solution Hi to all, first time stuck and out of ideas so here is my fist question. Iphone 7 with classic audio ic problem, no audio device on recorder, long boot time. Made the c12 jumper(this is maybe the 20th device I repair with this issue), I put back the ic, test quickly the recorder, it works, put back the phone, test a phone call, surprise, no audio from earpiece, if I put it on speaker there is sound, in headphones too....

Chosen Solution hey! i did an touch ic repair and now the iphone stays in headphone modes. did i use to much flux? is it the audio chip ? First disconnect the charging port flex to see if problem get solved . If not then reflow the audio ic. You might have touched the audio ic while replacing it’s neighbor touch ic.

Chosen Solution The back glass of my iPhone shattered because of a drop. I got a new housing assembly installed. Logic board, camera, battery, Taptic Engine, main speaker and the screen were from my iPhone. The rest were part of the housing: charging port, wireless charging coil, antennas and other smaller components. Chosen Solution I have a C64 and I want to connect it to my flats screen TV. My TV has composite jack. You first have to make sure your LCD/flat screen has either a composite or S-video jack. It would be ideal for your LCD/flat screen to have an S-video jack because its easier to use S-video cables to connect the C64 to the flat screen via its 8 pin video port....

Chosen Solution Yesterday my ipad pro 12.9 2nd gen screen turned black. I tried hard restart several times, but to no avail. I plugged into the computer it doesnt recognize it, but mind you i have never plugged it in to a computer before. so I dont know if would recognize it. I found a program on the internet that does diagnostic repairs and what not. I had the iPad connected to the computer and tried to put it in recovery mode and the screen goes brighter (a faded white screen with a black border) and the program did recognize it was a ipad pro 12....

Actually I have no clue about it. Mactracker says that my clamshell uses ATA-2 HDs, and I saw many Ultra ATA HDs. Are they compatible too? Also I don’t understand how ATA-2 is related (or not) to ATA100....

Chosen Solution So my girlfriend has a Mazda 3 2.3 sport, about 3 months ago the ac suddenly stopped working after a road trip. That being said I’m a mechanic at a local shop but much to my dismay we sub contract our ac work. Chosen Solution I removed the hard drive for my old G4, which died after many years of hard use. I got a IDE connector, but I need a case for it (3x6x1/2”). It is a USB Universal Drive Adapter. I’ve been assured it is “pretty sturdy,” but it is vulnerable to dust, etc. The case will need to have two openings at the sides at the top : 1, for the USB cord leading to the computer port; 2, for the USB port on the adapter itself....

Chosen Solution I have a slightly defective battery. The battery thinks that its capacity is higher than it is, and my system completely shuts off when the reported capacity hits 28%. This actually isn’t a huge problem– I’m pretty diligent about watching it and getting plugged in before I hit 28%. BUT it would sure be great to get a low battery warning when I hit 38%. (The ideal solution would actually be to reprogram the battery to think its capacity is accurate, but I don’t think that’s feasible without accessing its internal electronics....

Most online discussions related to this are from around 2018 and not for this specific device, and I was wondering if it was any different today. Yes, a display replacement on this phone WILL disable True Tone and bring up a “display may not be genuine” dialogue. According to this answer, it’s possible to restore TrueTone functionality after a screen replacement....

Chosen Solution Dear friend, The LCD display at the back has white spots due to mold. This camare has hardly been used. Mold has formed in the inside of the lcd display. Chosen Solution Left fan always shows 0 rpm in various fan control apps. After opening the bottom case, I see the left fan is clearly running idle at minimum, but won’t increase speed after maxing the speed through the app. Apple Diagnostics says there might be an issue with the fan. I would lower my expectation and try to find a book for may be a specific group of things. “How to Diagnose and Fix Everything Electronic” by Michael Geier or “A Beginners Guide to Consumer Electronics Repair: Hand Book and Tutorial " by Douglas Kinney might be a good start....

Chosen Solution MY 640lte will not start up @nickp , Nick , Ensure battery is charged, try another compatible charger/cord if possible. Press and hold the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release and the phone should restart. If this does not do it, you may have to try reset #3 procedure from the link below. Still no go, if under warranty return for repair/replacement/refund. Good luck. Chosen Solution Hi everyone, I just bought a MBP 15" which had a broken screen, the plan was to install a new LCD, which all went without a hitch. However the LCD is still not displaying any image, only the backlight (this is what was happening with the old LCD). I also noticed that around 5cm of the clutch cover on the far left (where the LVDS cable is underneath) gets EXTREMELY hot within 1 minute of the computer being on....
