Replacement wifi the module hasn’t helped I think a problem in motherboard. What I can make? Chosen Solution I am replacing my logic board as my macbook died, and I have noticed that the heatsink has turned black along the top (its still mostly copper, but 2-3cms of it has gone black (as has a bit of the surrounding casing) but there is no heat damage to the logic board. Is it ok to use this heatsink with my new logic board, or does this blackening mean its damaged in some way?...

Chosen Solution Just heard back from an authorized Apple technician and he also agreed with what the geniusbar guys told me: an issue in the rear mic is a whole unit replacement i.e. £287 It is replaceable. The rear mic is located on the power/volume flex cable. The repair is a bit of a pain but take it slow, stay organized and you will be fine. [linked product missing or disabled: IF314-030-1]
Chosen Solution Hi, my iPhone 6s battery says service in battery settings so I came to iFixit to see battery’s. I was wondering if the 6 battery is compatible with the 6s. No, the batteries are not cross-compatible. There are tiny connector layout differences that simply make this not possible. If you look at close-up pictures of the connectors you can see the difference. You can buy the proper battery for your 6s at the link below....
Chosen Solution Apple is telling me they have to do a full unit repair and I am wondering if there is a cheaper solution. Bluetooth functionality is combined with WiFi in the WLAN IC. This IC can be removed and replaced but it does require that the NAND IC also be removed and the WiFi address it contains has to be re-intialized. This is a big repair and requires a special programmer beyond the normal micro-soldering tools....

If you look on the bottom of the unit you should find a diagram which will tell you the units power requirements. I would suspect it needs 12volts 1Amp and the plugs inner core is the positive contact....

Those “connectors” are usually obscured with tape. Take a close look at the second picture in the product listing and you will see the black tape covering the connectors.

Chosen Solution I have a water damaged iPhone 6S, I replaced the J4200 connector because there was heavy corrosion. There is a short associated with pin 37 (PP1V8_LCM_CONN) I am getting a reading of .048V in diode mode, I have replaced the caps and filter but no such luck, the short remains. PMIC is heating up, but there was no corroson in that area so I have a hard time thinking that there is a short under there, also CPU is heating up, heating initiates right around a PP1V8 pin....

I was having trouble finding an OCA remover so I began reading threads and heard WD40 and goof off worked well. I used a bit of WD40 and goof off ( separately a different intervals) but was worried it was too strong so I was careful with how much I used....

Check all bulbs/sockets/plugs closely and fuses under hood #8 10A, #18 10A and Interior #2 7.5A, #5 7.5A, #15 15A if not blown then may be problem with multi function switch or ETACS ECU. I thought it might be a one-off occurrence, but it happened again later. Sadly, the display is not compatible between your 2015 system and the 2017 logic board. Apple introduced TrueTone in the 2016 model year. In addition to cost of a new logic board is around $600 USD, it would be cheaper to locate a used 2017 system....
