Chosen Solution I replaced the CPU heatsink/fan assembly. I put grease on both dies without making contact with bare skin. I believe I put an appropriate amount of torque on the three screws on the CPU and the sole screw on the GPU. I’m using the 9-cell battery without the plastic extender piece. I can hear the fan in motion by putting my ear to the vent hole. This laptop has only one fan....
Chosen Solution my son walked into someone and now the lens will not close when powered down. how can this be fixed sherri126 , Fully charge the battery and try on/off several times while slapping/bumping the bottom of the camera, remove battery for a couple minutes and reinstall to see if it resets. If this does not work, because of the intricate/small delicate gears that control the lens to function may be jammed, it should be looked at by a good camera repair Tech....
Chosen Solution My LG refrigerator is not getting as cold as it should. The fans are running and the coils are clean. The compressor doesn’t appear to be coming on. The relay clicks every few seconds but i don’t believe the compressor is coming on. Also the compressor is hot to the touch. I tested the compressor terminals to the housing with an ohm meter and have no continuity on any of them....

Some days ago I rendered a Final Cut video all night, in the morning I decided to put notebook into sleep mode. And it never woke up again. (p.s.: before I put into sleep, there were some artefacts with pink and blue streaks (not fullscreen, but in Final Cut output window only) I have such symptoms: when press On button, SuperDrive makes a buzz sound, fans start, HD turns on (but doesn’t load anything), a front light turns on dimmed (reacts on light sensors, become brighter if laptop is closed), no chime sound (but it shouldn’t be, cause I turned it off with a special system prefane app), “CapsLock” button doesn’t turn green, AND NO VIDEO, AND SYSTEM DOESN’T LOAD… I resetted PRAM, SMC, reseated RAM and so on… Didn’t try to use an external monitor due to it’s absence, but I’m pretty sure it won’t help as: I don’t hear the HD “crackle” (means: load OS);No beeps when I put RAM out....

Chosen Solution I’m locked out of my system, i kinda forgot my password and i’m locked out and i have work to do…. please… COMPAQ PRESARIO CQ56 WINDOWS 7 STARTER… You might have to reinstall you OS (windows 7) to get access. Try booting a Linux OS and transfer out files you need. and then format and reinstall. Anyone have a second opinion on this issue? You don’t need to reinstall the Windows 7 OS....
Chosen Solution When both slots are populated, the system only records 2GB of memory being available. I have tested both RAM slots by booting with just one slot populated. Chosen Solution 5 days ago i spilled a small amount of coke(soda) on my macs touchpad and keyboard. saw some seep down into the crevices of the space bar. didn’t think it was a big deal, but after a couple hours i reopened the mac and each key on the top 2 rows were typing 3 letters for every 1 press and the curser was almost impossible to move. tried to get the battery out but didn’t have the screwdriver required so i let it sit (open, upside down with fan) and after 5 days, it is acting completely normal....

Chosen Solution My iphone frequently freeze then turns black. Software problems can cause an iPhone to shutdown randomly. Try closing other apps and close any open tabs you might have open in safari/other browsers. If your iPhone’s storage is almost full, try deleting some info/apps off the device until you free up at least 10% of the total device storage. It is a good idea as well to back-up and reset the device software to rule out any additional software problems....
