Chosen Solution iphone not charging but it turns on when i plug in the charger. I cleaning dock connector, try new cable, checking battery connector, replace battery, still not charging, please help. Ondrej, make sure that the battery connector is properly seated and connected. Of course it is possible that you have a failed charging coil or “USB fuses”. You will at least need a multimeter to check those components for continuity....

Chosen Solution My iPhone ringer switch stays on ring. I switch it back and forth and it stays on ringer it wont swtich to vibrate? I was wondering what specific part on my switch was bad? I’m having the same problem, looking through other posts with similar issues, it seems to be either a loose connector, should be #5, or the headphone jack assembly, it includes the volume switch, the silent/ring switch, the headphone jack and the lock switch....

Chosen Solution This is very strange and I first thought it was a coincidence but after dealing with it for two months it absolutely is not. I have an iPhone 7 Plus, the screen has previously been replaced by a third party. Sometimes, randomly, the screen stops responding to touch. I can still do everything else, the home button works, I can play music/videos still using the buttons on my bluetooth headphones etc....

Chosen Solution Hi, I’m hoping this makes sense. I have my iPhone 6s Plus assembled but forgot to include the NFC bracket. Is it okay if I just loosen the two screws, place the bracket and then replace the screws? I really don’t want to have to remove camera, etc. Thank you in advance! You have to remove the camera bracket otherwise the NFC will not be making electrical contact on that side....

Chosen Solution I have a Lenovo IdeaPad flex 14iwl with a severely cracked screen. I have obtained a parts laptop of the same model that has a number of problems with the parts inside the base, but it has a perfectly good screen and lid and I was wondering if it’s possible to replace this on my old laptop in one piece without having to pull out the screen? I am not familiar with this process and wary of breaking things so I’m very reluctant to do that kind of repair if there’s an easier way to replace the whole lid and screen, but I cannot find any guides about it....

All of the sudden, a grid of checkers that sometimes flicker and flash different shapes appeared and take up the entire screen. Any idea as to what is causing this? It’s quite common for the PN5V7_SAGE_AVDDN to read OL so if that’s the case, I wouldn’t worry about it....

Chosen Solution We baked the old card and reinstalled and now the computer is booting up. I saw a flicker at one point so no telling how long it will work. Unless I discover some issue-fix re the 5750s, I am going to return the cards. Subsequent searches suggest maybe they are not compatible. TMI out there on the WWW, it’s hard to separate the grains of pertinent truth. To locate the diagnostic LED’s you’ll need to pull off the black tape that covers them...

Chosen Solution I am using a third party power adapter I bought off of ebay to charge my Macbook Air. The LED will not turn on and the battery will not charge, however the Macbook otherwise functions as normal. I have tried everything under the sun to get it to charge again. I have reseated the battery, SMC reset, warmed the charger, and ran Apple diagnostics with no faults. Chosen Solution Ok, so, my friend spilled a scotch and soda on his mid-2009 Macbook Pro, and I’m trying to suss out the extent of the damage. The computer will boot and run normally off of AC power with the battery disconnected. With both the battery and AC adapter connected, however, the it will shut down halfway through the startup sequence (after the chime, but before the grey Apple logo.) Furthermore, if I reconnect the battery while the machine is up and running, it will shut off immediately....

Chosen Solution I accidentally ripped a flex on the front camera module. I managed to get the flex unsoldered from the sensor. I plan to order a new front camera module and transfer the flex from it. I don’t know if it’s been done or attempted, but wish me luck. Use low heat and don’t overdo it with the flux as you don’t want it going into the actual camera. I would also practice on a few dead flexes (from less expensive parts) if you haven’t worked on flexes before....

Chosen Solution I went into my purse and found my ipod on with a double arrow next to the battery and the screen is frozon in now playing mode. It won’t respond to any command. Help! The first thing to try would be to do a hard reset. Just hold down the center button and the menu button until the Apple Logo appears. Chosen Solution Replaced screen and digitizer with a ifixit. Touch screen locks up after three or four uses. Restart phone and worlds again for 3 or 4 times. Any ideas? Did the cracked / damaged screen have touch still working on it before? If yes, does the touch screen completely die until you lock and unlock the phone or restart the phone? This can be caused by the touch IC being at fault....
