Peter Town, Yes it does appear the headphone jack is soldered to the board and further damage could result from inexperienced person trying to resolder or replace because of heat required to resolder/replace....

I cracked the LCD on my 2011 and would like to replace the entire display (not just the LCD) with the one from my 2010. The model numbers on both show A1370, which I thought was odd, but would you assume that they are compatible?...

Chosen Solution Is the glass replaceable? i’ve noticed this model has more scrunchable glass that previous models. Can I pull it off with heat etc? Yes it’s possible to replace just the screen, it is basically the same process as replacing the LCD on the 12" Retina. After removing the assembly from the MacBook, heat and slide a thin tool under the bottom glass, then you can remove the screws for the hinge and start removing the screen....

Chosen Solution Hello everyone. I have a laptop computer Dell vostro 14-5480, that I reformated and installed new windows with windows 8.1, updated all drivers, everything worked well for a few days. But one morning, when i opened the laptop, it turned on by itself, and kept restarting again and again. I thought may be battery is dead, but that was ok. It keeps restarting, doesn’t boot to windows, and the F2 setup (BIOS) key and F12 boot keys doesn’t work too (like when i hit F2 or F12, it goes to the setup for a while but then restarts again and again), no bluescreen error, nothing, but only restarting and restarting forever util i close the lid I have a little knowledge about hardware, so I unscrewed the case and tried to run it without the RAM stick, but it just keep beeping and doesn’t do anything when i turned it on without the RAM....

Chosen Solution I own a Lenovo Yoga 720 15ikb that’s SSD has a JIS #1 screw. I may have stripped it with a Phillips head screwdriver. I am working getting the correct screwdriver for it. If it is too stripped is there anywhere or anyhow I can replace the screw even if it’s not a JIS? Yes, of course, get the correct screw driver. Steady your work and exert firm but cautious pressure sensing when the srcew driver is engaging the screw....

Chosen Solution I have a problem with the lid sensor. When i close the lid, the device won’t go into the sleep mode. I have tweaked with the windows settings and the BIOS and it’s not from either of them. I have downloaded the lenovo diagnostics tool and it revealed an issue with the lid sensor. when i close the lid, the device won’t go to sleep, but if i give it a couple of knocks on where the magnets are, it sometimes would shut and go to sleep....

The backlight of the display is super low, I can barely see any image, while keyboard light, Touch Bar, webcam, Touch ID, and so on, work great. I have tried resetting the SMC, but there was no change. Any idea if I plugged anything loosely so the display can’t get enough power, or something like that?...

Chosen Solution I own a late 2009 iMac Intel 27" EMC 2374. Since a few months now, the right lower part of the screen turns to be darker than the left side of the display (see picture). Chosen Solution I having backlight issues. I have researched all over the internet with no luck on finding the location of the backlight fuse. Everything else works great on the computer besides barely being able to see the screen. I have all the necessary tools as well as a donor board to take parts from. I’m just unable to locate the fuse! If anyone has any further information on this motherboard it would be greatly appreciated....

Sorry Apple has moved from an mSATA SSD to a NVMe/PCIe 4 lane SSD. The SSD is not compatible with your 27" iMac....

Chosen Solution After initially replacing it the new screen worked completely fine with no dead spots, but the home button wouldn’t work. So I opened it back up to fix the home button. Shorting the two prongs worked for the home button, but after power-cycling the battery and re-seating the button it still wouldn’t work. Unfortunately another problem developed: since opening it back up the right 2/3s of the LCD screen is completely black but is still completely responsive to touch (and the backlight still works)....

Chosen Solution Starter tries to engage . Only have 6 volts going to starter. @doogie123 if you are only showing 6 V on the starter I’d start by checking the battery and the wiring. Use a set of booster cables on your battery and boost your mower from another vehicle. If that works you know it’s your battery.

Chosen Solution While I was using my camera the other day, it just turned off midway and will not turn back on! I changed the batteries but this hasn’t fixed the issue. The camera still wont turn on. Can anybody help please? Assuming you know that the battery in the camera does have power… There are a couple of micro-switches that will prevent the camera from powering up (or if tripped… will cause the camera to power off immediately....

Chosen Solution Does the iPhone 8 Plus display only kit come with display adhesive that attaches the display to the frame of the phone? Not according the product description. Some vendors do include it though. You should order it in addition to your replacement screen.

My Iphone 5s keeps turnig off, but after I’m able to turn it on immediately as normal… and the phone works well, untill it shuts off again… The problem more often occours when battery is low. When battery is more than, let’s say, 50% it doesn’t happen. When it’s less than 15% and it turns off, I turn the phone on again only to see it shutting off after ios is started ( or after a couple of minutes it started)....

I was replacing my LCD screen, but at the first trial, there was a faulty connection, so i had to disconnect and reconnect the screen again but this time i forgot to disconnect the battery first,.. After that the screen went dead, all in black, but i can receive calls and Itunes is picking up phone … Any ideas? Update: The phone is not responding to anything, even the sleep button should decline a phone call, but it doesn’t, also the volume buttons aint responding and still a black screen....
